Cost of attending all cup games if we get to each final?

Postby MARKMAKAVELI » Mon Jun 20, 2011 2:04 pm

Difficult one to search the board for....

Just pricing up my season ticket. 600 so far plus cup schemes.

Hypothetically speaking... If we go all the way in everything, what is the rough price for attending all the home games plus the semis an finals?

At work now so cant access the official site properly to get prices etc. Please can someone advise.

for starters:
all are priced at 15 squid until QFs.

Carling Cup we have a max of 5 rounds. FA Cup maximum 6.
So up to the QF of each we have a max cost of £75
Add to that a max of 6 games at "full price", you are signing up for, what another £240?
Total maximum exposure for FA and Carling Cups £300-350?

The dream is we keep getting drawn away and don't have replays.
And if we did, and then don't make the semis you could be getting all those loyalty points for nowt.

Someone else can do the Champs League cos thats hard

The cup scheme is obviously only for home games.

I have no idea what the European Cup prices will be?? Surely they won't be £15 prior to the Quarter Final?

FA Cup will be £15 for home ties in Round 3 and then if we get through, Rounds 4 and 5.

League Cup will £15 for home ties in Round 3 and then if we get through for Round 4 aswell. After that it is up to the club's discretion.

I would guess that for FA Cup even if you're on the scheme, the supporter has the discretion re: Semi-Final with it being at Wembley?

hmmm cheers for that. dunno what to do. I'm thinking I may leave the cup scheme off and just buy as and when they are released. I should be ok to afford them all but I don't like being forced to, I want the option in-case I'm skint or something.

I can't see any obvious drawbacks to just buying them when they go on sale other than the lack of loyalty points for opting into the cup scheme. Can anyone else?

The lack of loyalty points wouldn't bother me anyway as I would prob go platinum anyway so my points would double.

Depends on if the club value the cup scheme higher than loyalty points at the SF/F stages as they did this year

Yeah I'm thinking that if I double my points I'll be on about 8k so I'd imagine that's pretty good for getting tickets plus I will prob go to all of them anyway....so more points.

Ok guys my decision is made. Thanks

are you thinking that platinum doubles your current points total?

it gives you double points for this season. So if you go to spuds away you get 40 points instead of 20.

Mark, the points you'd get for Platinum are:
380 for renewing
200 per cup scheme
extra 600 if you sign up for all 3

so a max of 1580 points which may help you get SF and F tickets should we get to one

Gold gives you exactly half of that

Back in the day we used to moan incessently about not getting anywhere near Cup Finals.

Now we are worrying over the cost of making them after one successful Cup run and our first final in 35 years!!!

Oh to have the problem of how to afford another run to Wembley or Munich. I sincerely hope I am scratching round for money come Spring 2012 and we are still in the shake-up in the Carling/FA and Champs Lge!

That's interesting. I've not renewed yet, but I read the "bumper bonus" HERE as being extra

Wonder if that's what they intended, or maybe its just me

With no intention of giving people even more points.

Ok cheers for the help lads.

I have just renewed on Platinum and opted in for all the cup schemes. £595 total.

I was rewarded with 1080 points taking my total to 4900. Hopefully with a few games/double points I will break into the 5000 barrier.

Season ticket holder for 15 years already!
