Get out of the group in CL and another top four finish would satisfy me. A top two finish + quarter or semi in CL would make me happy:-)

same as ever for me. i just hope we stay up.
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

i was hoping to get your opinion on the matter. Duly noted.

p.s. sounds like CARL has decent blow in Mexico, maybe you two should hang out? i'm sure he has a yacht or an associate with a yacht. That'd be two out of three you could nail quickly, and then you can focus on Hayden. Make it happen, i've heard she just broke up with that Russian pussy boxer giant fucler...he probably stretched her out to be fair tho. She's about 5 feet and he's 6.5 or so? criminal. Sounds like an episode of Monsters of Cock when i think about the two of them together. But, i digress...

cheers

I was thinking the same thing but didn't wanna say. I reckon it's Doomey's attempt at trying to look all intellectual when in fact we all now he is a thick twunt with a bald head. I mean this is a guy who thinks City play "soccer"..........like I say twunt!

I think he should have gone with "satisfied" and instead went for a word that sort of means the same, but on contextually thin ice. Or....trying to look intellectual while being a thick cunt with a bald head.

In answer to his barely question though, would we be happy with....
3rd in league.
Domestic cup win.
Rnd of 16 Champions League.

I think I'd sacrifice the domestic cups for a tilt at the league but be very happy with the equivalent achievements with the champions league in place of the europa.

I expect.

A title challange. We might finish 3rd again but as long with a month to go we are in with a shout to win the league. It never looked likely this year. I think we can win it with a bit of luck but the minimum I expect is a challenge.

Last 8 in the CL. The minimum an English side should be aiming for. Spurs did it. So can we.

The board and management dont give a toss about the League Cup and it will be very hard to win the FA Cup two years in a row.

A derby win in the league. Seems a while now.

Six point off Everton.

As Mick Jagger put it: "I can't get no satiation"
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.

The one thing of which I am reasonably sure, is that Dalglish will get into the top 4. Something tells me that he'll fashion a good enough first eleven to compete all season. The most obvious likely casualties will be Tottenham. They're liable to shed one of their stars (Modric/Bale/Sandro), H is on trial and they've either got to re-shape a whole forward line or make do and mend.

Chelsea and Arsenal will fight it out for prominence in London and ought to both qualify for CL.

As should you, but I make LFC's forthcoming challenge stronger than what you endured with Spurs.

The good thing for you is that you finished proper strongly. It doesn't appear that your best player will leave (although Kia and Tevez are a contrary pair) and you've got quality throughout.

So, Man U's early strengthening is interesting. They're certainly primed to 'go again' but there are gaps in parts of their team/squad, need to bed in a keeper as quick as they can and may have been psychologically damaged by their mauling at Wembley (against Barca!)

So, it makes for an interesting title run next season.

As for me, its simple. We've got to get back into the Prem. How we do it is a very secondary consideration.

Tips:
City - 2nd or 3rd; first or next knock out round of CL; (winning?) finalists of a domestic cup.

WHU - 6-8th in NPower; early baths in the cups. Back up through the play offs?

Hi Walmai,

I'm not sure about Kenny Mumbles and his Liverpuddlers; his honeymoon period is now over and the fans' expectations have gone through the roof, so the pressure starts here on him, big time.

Still don't think his squad is of a high quality overall and there are possible question marks as to whether Suarez can deliver for a full season and also whether the £35m 'lampost' they bought from the 'Toon' might be showing the first signs of being susceptible to injuries (and whether his style of play would aggravate any such niggling injuries).

All in all, they might start the new season brightly but I could see them fading away after Christmas.

I'm much more interested in West Ham's prospects for the new season with their experienced and technically astute new manager......will he play the pragmatic long ball game to kick his way back to the Premier Division, or will he re-invent himself as the progenitor of Barca style passing football to please the Hammer's faithful ??

I'd be interested to know your thoughts.

I think that, in the micro-pond environment in which we are now destined to remain (regardless of the division in which we play football), getting Sam should reap dividends. He persuaded Nolan to come back down a division, when I'd imagine that even if he was desperate to leave Newcastle, he could have held out for another Prem club to come in for him.

We've had a clown (Grant) preceded by a rookie (Zola). Allardyce is like going back to Curbishley - enough experience to create a team that will generally win more than it loses.

I can't say I jumped for joy on learning he'd been appointed, but needs must.

Irrespective of how you achieve it, I hope the Hammers have a successful season and get promoted back at first attempt. The Premiership is a poorer place without you guys in it.

Good luck for 2011-12
