Senderos,Lauren.

Add Hleb to that list!

Would Ashley Cole, Vieira and Henry count as having gone on to do better things?

not Vieira or Henry for sure...Cole i suppose, but that was a cunt's move, no? hardly blame Wenger for that one.

Ross might have a pretty good point here historically, but i think the tide is changing for Wenger. Players now want to move to win, and he can't hold onto talent. Even Ade tbh could have gone onto bigger and better things. They've yet to replace him.

cheers

I'll give you Cole but Wenger didnt want rid of him. That was Coles choice. Vieira and Henry had peaked at Arsenal and never really got close to the form they showed at thier respective clubs. Hleb has been awful as well. Isnt he at Birmingham these days?

I do expect Nasri to buck that trend even if he doesnt end up with us. I just think Arsenal and Wenger have historically done very well and getting players out once they have peaked.

Yeah that's right. It'd be foolish to suggest that Nasri and Cesc have peaked though. Arsenal are sliding!

I would like to think that as well but given they HAVE to win something next year as well as looking like winning the league I cant believe they would be willing to let go of there two best players and not have anything lined up.

I wouldnt write them off just yet.

Spurs for me, will be the team to slide next year.

Liam Brady?? Matthew Upson?

Ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Brady played for us, as I'm sure you're aware (scored an absolute beaut on his final game), but Upson? 'On to better things'?

Say what?

To be fair, loads of people were talking about us going for Upson only few years back. I was told to be complete fool when I said that he is crap.

I never forget these things.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Wish you'd bought him there and then.

A joke of a captain whose career was washed down the pan of football during that calamitous lesson in the basics the Germans gave us in the World Cup.

Since leaving Arsenal, Vieira has won Serie A with Juventus once, 3 times with Inter, 2 Supercoppa Italiana with Inter and the FA cup with City......you might want to have a rethink

Never understood what people were seeing in Upson when he suddenly became flavour of the month. Some players just look shite to me & he has always looked shite, even when people were raving about him. England were doomed as soon as Capello picked him.

those are fair statistics, but it's like saying that whoever's fucking Erin Gray right now is getting a really hot piece of ass and having a fantastic time. Honestly, you would have wanted to pack her in the Buck Rodgers era when she was in her prime, wearing the outfit below, right? Paddy was in his prime at Arsenal and those were the teams he'll be remembered for, don't you think? Winning a few dodgy Serie A titles amidst scandal and bullshit is a bit dubious imho.

Also, Erin Gray...in her prime imho.

Henry won 7 trophies after leaving arsenal, including 2 la ligas and a champions league. Might want to rethink that one too

i am honestley excited about this signing, we will have a mean ddefence next year, better than this year. against popular belief this lad can actually defend & bomb forward with pace, He is 25 counts towards our homegrown quata, & is a absolute snip at £7m, buzzing if this comes off

Re Erin Gray;

I always preferred it when she got the legs out & didn't wear a helmet but I think the comparison is unfair anyway. It would be more like comparing Erin Gray a few years after she left Buck, & at that time she was a bit older but a bit naughtier, still totally shaggable & at one point did a striptease scene with a basque & stockings on etc.

Agreed.

It's the pace i'm excited about.

Him and micah bombing down the flanks.

Mouthwatering!

He's joining according to his (apparently) official twitter.

Signing for Manchester City. Everyone involved in Arsenal Football Club, thank you, your support was greatly appreciated and will be missed.

Should he do the business and confirm the account as official by getting a pic and Jack Wilshire to confirm it as real too, I'll believe this as fact then.

Certainly looks promising though.

Had very little to do with him. He spent the majority of his second season sitting on the bench.

He's peaked years before.
