Typical Swede.
Idiot, this is a swede...
that's three swedes
One more and we'd have a Eurovision winner.

colonel_muck wrote:I really don't like Arsenal. Or maybe more specifically, Arsene Wenger. Breed young players and get a team to start gelling together only to sell them on when they want more money. If Fabregas, Nasri and Arshavin all go this summer there are few players he would be willing to buy (with his stubborn refusal to move with the market) that would get them playing at the level they would need to be at.
What we will get is a talented crop of youngsters that Paul Merson and Alan Shearer will tell us have huge potential 'not this year but not too far off, they'll be challenging again' and by the time they are ready to mount a challenge, Jack Wilshere expresses his desire to play for Man Utd and it goes round and round.
Does anyone know any arseanl fans? What are they making of all this? It's looking more and more to me that the only way they can truly move forward is to sack Arsene...

arsenal fans think they are stealing money from us for both Clichy and Nasri if we stump up 27M for both. They feel they have LB coverage and feel that if both Fabs and Nasri go they can be replaced. Also, they didn't exactly prove themselves winners, so Arsenal fans are not, uhm, well, arsed, as it were.
Gunners fans think we are mugs and that we are going to fund their purchase of a couple great players this window and that they will kick our asses next year. They only sell to us because our wallet is large and they don't see us as the threat they see the Rags as, so they are willing to do business with us.
cheers

Arsenal have a plan. They are trying to pay back for Emirates in very ambitious schedual. When they have paid back fully, they are virtually loan free with great stadia and turnover. Sacrifice they have made for that plan is that they just try and hang onto Champion's League position with minimum investment and maximum income, most of which will be spent on loan payments. Wenger is the best manager in the world to execute that plan. Unfortunately for them the way things have moved in football world in recent years, that gives them little chance for any major trophies apart from maybe odd cup run.
If you are "Gunner for life", I'm sure you will think that is excellent business plan as when they have paid their loans they will be in excellent position. If you are some fair weather fan, I'm sure you'll think that's a crap plan with little immediate reward.
