I'd sooner have Aguero than Sanchez personally. Never rated him as highly in the past but I recon he's improved & is ready for the Prem. I recon he could play in several positions for City. He has the talent to develop an alround game under Mancini. Noticed one or two foreign papers are linking us. Hope it's not just the usual bullshit.

because trueblue64 posted it on an internet forum.

I mean who "wouldn't" want to play for them? i think that's how some people think of it, but i have to disagree. In fact, the Frenchy on talksport last night said that Sammy's agent hadn't even met with United which made him think he wasn't even that serious but just using the filth link to try and get a better deal from the Arse.

if i were a player, i'd be of a mindset that i wanted to build something new and crush the status quo...best chance to do that in England is with City tbh. That's the kind of mentality that i want to see in our team. and i think, money aside, that mentality exists in players like Vinnie, Nige, Zabs, Hart, Micah and a few others.

Its just something I heard or read that he wants to play for them, maybe he doesn't I really hope he comes to us, he will have a better chance of playing more games with us than them.

i think he's a fantastic player. And he'll even get better. Imagine that?

cheers

what i mean is that when he burst onto the scene a few years ago he was brilliant and he's never even looked like reproducing thos original performances he got a bad injury if i remember correctly and he never really came back (the same player). since hughes we have bought what seems like endless fullbacks who could be good then never really go on to do anything spectacular, and it always ends up with Zabaleta getting back in the team and playing brilliantly. time and time again he fights and runs around all day long he deserves to play in the champions league with City.

are you counting Boateng as a FB? i think a lot of us got confused because he has to cover that position with the German squad, but he clearly fancies himself a CB, end of story.

so we bought Kolarov and who the fucl else "since Hughes"? im honestly at a loss for another fullback purchase...how fucking retarded am i? Bridge, Zabs and Kolarov are the only three i can think of that Hughes and Mancini bought. Not exactly loads of them to be fair. Esp since Zabs probably played more as a midfielder initially since that was maybe his more preferred position...i dunno. i can't recall when we bought him but i felt like we bought a MF player and not a fullback. Which would mean we bought 2 leftbacks in like 6 transfer windows. Not exactly crazy.

cheers

Zabaleta was definitely brought here as a full back, and sometimes played midfield (which he is also quite good at), and yes i was counting Boateng as a fullback because that's where Mancini put him most of the time he played, so to me that says he was bought as a fullback. But the two points I was really trying to make in this NASRI THREAD(!) are that Clichy has played his best football and Zabaleta deserves to be first choice leftback?

Agree with this. It's a line used far too regularly, not just by people on here but by journo's as well. I heard Neil Ashton this morning (cunt) talking about our 'endless troubles' (also used the term endless) in filling our full back positions. Without mention of Micah's form last season, he attempted to make the purchases of Kolarov and Bridge sound like disasters of Veron proportions. Strangely, he also blamed both buys on Mancini.

Whilst I admit we haven't been great in this area, Zab goes down as one of the best buys we've made and the work Bobby has done with Micah has been outstanding. Boateng was bought as a centre half (IMO) so that leaves us with Bridge and Kolarov. One has been piss poor, one gets a very raw deal from fans and 'experts' alike but needs to prove himself. I've not given up on Kolarov yet.

Hardly 'endless troubles' is it?
we've got love bites and everything
