Fabragas, the utter creative spark, imo the truly irreplaceable player of Arsenal leaving has been met by almost unanimous "not bothered" comments from Arsenal fans. I've also seen lots of "it's ok we've got Ramsey" comments banded about too! It's like Yaya leaving and us going it's ok, we've got Assulin coming through. Madness. Fabragas has created more chances than any other player in the past 6 seasons, the loss will be hard to take, the void will not be easily filled by Ramsey.
The whole Clichy business is much the same, he is undisputedly Arsenals number one LB, yet him going is again "no problem", they have Gibbs, a player who has spent more time crocked than playing and when he has played has looked very average. Arsenal fans cite errors and a decline to clichys game but the stats speak a different story. Stats don't lie. If there is a weakness to him it's that he has been supported by a frankly poor defence.
Add to all this that Arshavin is most likely off, Nasri also looking odds on for a move and even rumours of RVP handing a transfer request in. Smacks of crisis to me but to Arsenal fans, this is all part of Wengers masterplan. Another piece of brilliance, selling players who have had there time at Arsenal, it's the start of a new better Arsenal...
The term "In Wenger we trust" seems to be a buzzword atm, but frankly does Wenger even have a plan anymore.
I don't believe it, doesn't seem his current stars do either.
I know it's a bit off topic, but is that really true or are you just saying it in general terms, because year upon year I watch Fabregas to see what the fuss is really all about, and I'm still at a loss. But if he has created more chances than anyone else, I'll shut up. I just never seem to be around when he does!
