Settle down, settle down!!!!
Nothing new in this.
Anyone seen the interview or where ever it came from? Is it current? Is it accurate? Has it been twisted?
Wouldn't be surprised if this is another sensational report.
Sure, he isn't happy.
Sure he wants to leave.
But if he ain't got anywhere to go, he will just have to suck it up and get on with it. And I think he knows it!
Maybe he is just a guy who wears his heart on his sleeve and if someone asks him if he is happy he tells the truth and they know it and it sells papers.
City are coming to get you!

I think that Mancini secretly would like Tevez to leave. I say this as I feel that as a team we play to Tevez strengths but as the team develops this will harm the team. Tevez certainly works hard but sometimes I want a forward that is a forward and when we break is around the oppositions box.He tends to drop deep or out towards the wing. I feel if we get rid of him Mancini might play another formation. He a class player but at times last season he was so selfish and he was thinking about personnal glory. Another thing was that he did not deserve the captaincy and I felt he isolated himself from the rest of the team. By giving Vinnie the captainy the team will be a happier team. Plus we played the rags off the park without Tevez. So good luck but we will be a better team without yot. And if we meet up you in the CL, Vinnie will have you in his back pocket

Everyone in the PL is back at work today......the game starts again for real.

Barca need money if they are taking FFP Rules seriously; as we appear to be. Think this is key to the whole summer transfer merry-go -round.

They cannot afford Fabregas & Sanchez without raising some cash. I'm no expert but from what I read they cannot spend in excess of £35m this year, which is the quoted trading price for Fabregas.

Someone needs to match the value of Tevez, in terms of a player, or players, as no-one can stump up £50m, but business must go on, so he will be a trade, and a complicated one...(Hope it doesnt run all summer but probably will)

Im glad we have avoided Etoo & I would not be too unhappy to end up with Aguero. We are going to come out of this badly as Tevez is irreplaceable, therefore damage limitation is key.

Barca need to raise £40m, when Tevez goes we will have an extra 40-50m to trade with....

something or someone has to give

(sorry.....appreciate this may be rambling nonsense)

hopefully the club gets on this quick. put a price on his head (£50m) or else he rots in the reserves for 3 years with a weeks fine every week he doesn't turn up. feel for him if his personal reasons if true but this is a pure business decision by the club.

we need a proven premier league goal scorer while dzeko and mario settle.

...bet you he is still with City when the window closes. We are doomed to be in a perpetual loop with Tevez until the end of his contract.

Still if someone comes up with the dosh probably best to cash in...assuming someone has got the dosh and is willing to pay it

Yep. Its such a crock of shit. Manchester is hardly the fucking Bronx. But can Barca or Real afford him? I can't see Italy being any easier to adapt than England and no other country has a club that can afford him.

Genuine.

Ok, fair enough, he wants to move to a country where his family can be happy. Therefore he will be willing to take a pay cut & play for a team who isn't in the Champion's League as he only cares about his family. Swap him for Aguero.

I must go! Tevez stuns Manchester City by insisting he has to leave this summer EXCLUSIVE
By Alex Kay

Last updated at 10:09 PM on 4th July 2011

Carlos Tevez has rocked Manchester City by telling them he has to leave the club for the sake of his family.
City had been fearing their captain would leave this summer, but hoped he would have a change of heart. However, on Monday night he confirmed their worst fears.
Currently playing for Argentina in the Copa America, Tevez, 27, spoke to City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak to explain his decision.
No silver lining: Carlos Tevez insists he is leaving Manchester City despite leading the club to FA Cup glory and Champions League qualification last season
The striker stressed that he needed to live in a country where his family will be happy to join him.
Tevez, who was City's top-scorer last season as they qualified for the Champions League for the first time, issued a statement to Sportsmail on Monday night:
'It is with great regret that I have to inform Manchester City of my wish to leave the club. I would like to state that I have great respect for the club, its supporters and the owner, Sheik Mansoor, who has been nothing other than respectful to me.
Comfort zone: Tevez is currently on international duty with Argentina at the Copa America
'I hope that the people understand the difficult circumstances I have been living under the past 12 months, in regards to my family.
'Living without my children in Manchester has been incredibly challenging for me. Everything I do, I do for my daughters, Katie and Florencia. I need to be closer to them and to spend more time with them.

Family man: Tevez insists he has to be closer to his two young daughters Florencia (left) and Katie, currently living with their mother Vanesa in Buenos Aires
'I need them to be happy because my life is about them now. I need to be in a place where they can adapt.
'Being captain of Manchester City, qualifying for the Champions League, winning the FA Cup and finishing as top-scorer last season has made me very proud.
'I hope that most of the City fans will understand that I have given them my all on the pitch and that my dedication to the city cause has been 100 per cent on the pitch.

'I hope I have done my bit to help City continue their progress towards their ambition to be champions of England and to advance in the Champions League. I have no doubt that the players and management of City will achieve great success in the future.'

Tevez was keen to stress the decision is not professional, but personal. His estranged partner Vanesa, the mother of his two children, could not settle in Manchester and returned to Argentina with their daughters.
It is believed they are happy to move to a Mediterranean destination for the warmer climate and way of life.

Tevez hopes a transfer to either Italy or Spain can be agreed, although there is no current interest from either country.

He turned down the chance to speak to Juventus a month ago - it is believed the Serie A giants may come in again now his future appears clearer, although that is uncertain.
It is understood friends advised Tevez against this high-risk strategy - he has no future employment lined up - but the player is so desperate to move away he wants to force the issue.

Recently, Tevez told Sportsmail of his turmoil during a trip to Argentina for the launch of his charity to raise money for the underprivileged in Buenos Aires.
Rocky relationship: Tevez hasn't always seen eye-to-eye with City manager Roberto Mancini but the pair appeared to have put their differences behind them at the end of last season
'It is great being here but it is going to be even more difficult to go back now,' he said during an exclusive interview. 'It's great now, enjoying spending time with my family but it will be tough to go back. Being back here means I can cuddle my daughters. It's a difficult situation when I'm not here.'
City manager Roberto Mancini appeared confident Tevez would stay, when he declared at the weekend that a swap deal for Inter Milan's Samuel Eto'o had collapsed.

Mancini said: 'Yes, of course Tevez will stay, he is a fantastic player. There was talk of an exchange with Eto'o, but Inter did not want to sell.'
Candid: The Argentine striker revealed exclusively to Sportsmail last month his agony at being separated from his family
Despite a sometimes fractious relationship, Tevez and Mancini eventually proved they can work together.

The little striker was recalled to the City starting line-up on the eve of the FA Cup Final, when it was expected he would be a substitute following an injury.

Tevez led out the City team as captain and held the FA Cup aloft. He later attended a City bus tour around Manchester, even though he was expected to return home and miss the celebration.

He handed in a transfer request last season - and has been critical of certain board members in the past, accusing them of broken promises - but this time, it is believed he will not adopt an aggressive approach and has not asked for a transfer. He expects the club to understand his wishes to go.

Frankly I've had it with Tevez. Who needs him when we've got RSC, Jo and Adebayor? Seriously I agree with Ted. Aguero would be a perfect replacement. Go get him. I still think we need a pacy top quality wide man and I'm stupid enough still to hold out hope for Alexis Sanchez.

A little disappointed that we didn't get Coentrao but we can't compete with Real under a top Portuguese manager. Hopefully Gael will be a great hit.
