Ok, fair enough, he wants to move to a country where his family can be happy. Therefore he will be willing to take a pay cut & play for a team who isn't in the Champion's League as he only cares about his family. Swap him for Aguero.

IFhe goes that swap would be ideal, because if he left for a club in the champs league you know we'd draw them in the groups!!!

Is aguero worth the same as Tevez?

I think he's about 4 years younger for starters.... I can't say I've followed his career like I did Tevez.

Anyway, like I said, we need a HUGE signing now. A real sign that this club will take two steps forward everytime we're forced to take one back.

Do it Cooky.

I think Tevez would fetch a higher fee than Aguero if the circumstances allowed it but I think Aguero has really gone up a level in the last year or so & is catching him up. He could become a pretty good replacement for the little twat.

Well he's always left his previous clubs after around 2 seasons and usually in controversial circumstances but for football reasons.

If he is genuinely putting his family first then I actually aaplaud him. I'd put my family first before anything and in the football world where the career is short and the earning power in his current job at City is of the scale (in comparative terms), then to find a balance of being with his family and in all likliehood earning less money is commendable.

In an ever increasing world of greed I find his decision refreshing, even if it means the team I've supported for 35 years will miss his talents.

What has changed? The man is just another football prima diana who has the maturity of a teenager. He is still probably the best player in a generation to wear the shirt, but no man is bigger than the club, so stick to a decision and behave like a man, even if that means fuck off.

Terribly disappointed as he is so good he could actually put the master plan back years, but it'll still happen. Enough is enough.

If these statements are correct then he can go for me, but at the going rate which is a minimum of £50 mil his wages are not our problem our only concern is what we receive for him. He wants to go then he'll probably have to take a considerable drop in wages, not our concern he has to accomodate that. This is most definitely not the actions of a captain he should be setting an example to the rest of the squad. Sell him use the money to replace him, Rossi or Aguero in addition to either of these invest in Lukaku for the future make vinny or NDJ captain players who would both die for the shirt. We dont want or need players who do not want to be at the club no matter how talented he is, we need a solid squad all pulling in the same direction with one common goal.... to make our club a European superforce.

Carlos thank you for your service you are a wonderful player but Manchester City no longer need or wish to accomodate your unreasonable demands just to be graced with your presence at our club, nobody n i repeat nobody is bigger than the club, goodbye

He will probably have to take a wage cut even to go there. We will find out how honest he is when those kind of negotiations start. If he drags his feet when such deals are offered or suddenly starts the 'I only want to sign for Real Madrid' bollox then we know he's a complete cunt & imo should make an example of him.

Whatever happens here i fear as in the Robinho situation we will come out the worse off at the end of it all.

The way he is forcing the issue will not exactly help City get a price anywhere near the players value. Not even sure where he could go really unless a swap for a big name player is involved. In that case whoever we get will not even be close to the calibre Tevez is at the moment.Maybe someone slightly out of favour like Kaka at Madrid or Ibrahimovich at Barca will be offered to us in part exchange.

As much of a hero and as good as he has been at this stage it just does not seem this situation is going away unfortunatly.

Spot on. Newsnow is quite funny at the mo. The USA media are just breaking the Tevez story while in New Zealand they are just hearing we've signed Clichy ... ha ha
