We have spent all summer SO FAR on trying to get Sanchez deal happen. I thought that was poor effort to begin with with absolutely no value for money there and debatable merits. If, as it seems, Tevez is indeed starting to force a move you'll need to earn your wages and make some top top deals in about months time. Not an easy task I know but that's what you were hired to do.

I think they've been shit on by Kia & Tevez & will now desperately be trying to sort it out. Imo, we are absolutely fucked in all competitions if we don't get a really fantastic replacement for Tevez.

We do that with Kia, and he will be wagging the dog until the window closes clouding every other deal, back page slaughter for us. To my mind the calculated release of the statement the day before pre-season, needs a reply in kind. MCFC have to show they are ahead of the game. Carlos is in need of a public slapping, it will do him no harm and what have got to lose it's 45 mill or nothing regardless.

I'm certain they will have prepared for it but I'm also certain that as Tevez didn't ask for a move & Kia (& Bob) was talking about him staying, they will have been concentrating on other targets rather than a replacement.

This will mean they suddenly have to reopen talks they'd put well & truly on the back burner & hope other clubs haven't got in ahead of them.

Most clubs will just think "hell, we are going to just hang onto Lionel Christiano Aguero-Snejder and see what happens summer 2012 as we have no time to find replacement". This is too late to start sorting out deals for world top 10 players. Aguero is the only one I can think of who might be available and fit the desription.

You don't replace Carlos Tevez with some Serie A one-season-wonder and expect to challenge for title. That is my opinion.

I agree but it could be that, if the clubs involved were actually willing sellers, they have lined up or even signed replacements already (youngsters or bargain buys) & are still hoping to get the money for their star man. I recon Udinese fall into that catagory for instance.

If him and Kia had any brains they would have told the club behind closed doors that they want a move away. That way we could have sold him and appeared to be reluctant sellers, thus maximizing the amount we could get for him. Now he publically stated (again) that he wants to leave, all the mugs like Barca and Madrid and whatnot will just fuck us now and offer 20m or some bullshit like that.

We all saw this coming, I'm damn sure they did too. This regime are no mugs, there will be plans in place.

One thing I have never had any doubt about is we are run by the best people. Khaldoon is phenomenal, we are ridiculously lucky to have him guiding the ship.

This Tevez episode does not bother me at all for this reason.

Anyone who says they are sure Balotelli & Dzeko will make up for the lack of Tevez is telling lies, we don't find that out until they actually do it. If they don't & we don't have other options, those responsible should all be sacked. It could be that all 4 strikers won't cover for him but if we have 4 options then at least we are cutting down the chances of failure in that department & doing all we can.

Failure to at least try to cover the damage would be incompetence imo.

They're saying his price is 50 mill and that will be a great help with FFP, so not only do I think they saw it coming, I think they provoked it now so that they can manage it rather than having it hanging over them in a vital new season.
