True fact.

I honestly think that's why we would be best served buying a pacey back up striker to Dzeko and pumping the money into a top midfielder.

when fabregas & sanchez finally sign for barca, we can swap carlos for xavi and villa plus a few million. i'd be more than happy with that....

If Tevez goes, I'd bring in some wide players to complement Johnson and then go the "crosses in to Dzeko" route.

Honestly there's not another player out there who can give us what Tevez have. If he inevitably goes we should focus on changing our system rather than trying to find a like for like replacement.

Inter, Real Madrid and Barca all have players they may be willing to swap, if only for a season. I'm thinking Eto, Schnejder, Kaka, Benzema, Iniesta, Villa. Any of those would sweeten the pill. Aguero could be a possibility also.

Imo if we end up with Benzema or similar for Tevez we're fucked. Tevez is a special kind of player & we need someone equally 'dynamic' (as Hughes would say) or we'll go backwards next season

I reckon that there's a lot to come this season from Balotelli and Dzeko to add into the equation which would lessen the impact of losing Carlos. There's only 2 or 3 players that could replace Tevez and we probably won't get any of them - so we may well have to settle for less.

Anyone mentioned a swap for Neymar yet.

Tevez would be able to go back to South America and solve the family smoke and mirrors bullsheeeeet.

No fuck all about Neymar to be honest except tabloid one liners.

In my personal opinion we can't let Tevez go before summer 2012 now. Simply can't. We don't have time to find similar quality replacement this summer anymore. These transfers usually take time and should have been in process months ago.

Out of the players mentioned, only Aguero is someone who can play in similar level and do similar things for us.

Generally, we are royally screwed here. We can forget all the talk about title challenge right the moment Tevez leaves. Letting him go would practically be Manchester City suicide for Mancini as well.

Let's just hope this is another crap made up story.

12 months ago but not now. He didn't play in the semi.

You just know it's going to be Ibrahimovic though.

Don't think that would be so bad along with Eto'o and although a few might not like it I would like us to bring Danny back

Can't Roberto just bury the hatchet with Bellamy and Ade for a short term solution?

Bellamy is a year older & has spent that year playing with people who basically can't play football against people, most of whom can't basically play football. If he can actually play & have sharpness at Premier Lg level after that, I'll be gobsmacked.

Anelka is a great shout, I was thinking Drogba I'd be more than happy with either of those two. Between Balo, Dzeko, and Drog/Anelka there are enough goals to challenge for the title imo.

This bloke has really slipped under my radar tbh. Seen him play for Paraguay & looks good on youtube! Noticed him on a list of goalscorers the other day & I was going to ask the same question; if anyone had studied him. His record looks pretty impressive.
