I see Anelka has been released by Chelsea if it were me

Dzeko
Balotelli
Aguero
Anelka

Would be my four strikers, (obv we would have to get Aguero).

I would personally would love to see Caicedo stay

We can play 3 or even 4 attackers in the team provided they are capable of swapping positions & playing deeper & willing to put a bit of effort in. I recon those will be the type of players Mancini goes for (not Big Bandy Phil).

Then imagine we had another striker and he got suspended. WE NEED FIVE STRIKERS

Thanks.

Next time I'm going to make up scenarios and start whole new threads about them.

He hasn't. Bit of googling tells me that 2010 he signed extension to his contract until summer of 2012.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

That's it.

Now stretch that imagination a bit further, we're playing Barcelona in the Champions Lg on the Wednesday & the rags away on the Sunday. We have just Dzeko available for both games.

WE NEED FOUR STRIKERS.

At Inter - certainly at one time - Bobby had six top strikers (including fatty Adriano). I am sure he is desperate to be in a similar position. He doesn't mind about people sitting on the bench, not one bit.

Some people cant get past these 'OUR FIRST XI FOR NEXT SEASON' idiotic threads. We have one hell of a lot of matches to put out fresh teams in.

Well the other thing is, people tend to worry about the players who can't get in the team getting upset & wanting to leave. If they can't get in the team, that's exactly what we want them to do! We want players who CAN get in the team. The idea is, they're all so good that they all get games, just that they all play a few games less, so are fresher all the time.

The most successful rags team had strikers & attacking players coming out of it's arse.

We have Balotellie and Dzeko. In my eyes we need one proven goal scorer and a young un. I like Cavani and Aguero. or I would swap Tevez for Torres and 20m coming our way. He will come good and he has class. I would like Lukaku. On the point of wingers the rags dont play 4-4-2 and dont struggle for crosses. But they go for wingers that can make it up and down all day and Adam Johnson can not do that. For me he must be a substitute unless he improves his speed and stamina. Playing him on the right does not help him get crosses in, as he has to cut in. So when he plays play him on the left.

I'd be happy to have a youngster as 4th striker provided it's someone who is genuinely competing for a 1st team place rather than just one game in 15.

Re AJ, if you watch some of his later games last season, he was really making a big effort to do what you're asking but I think it was having an effect on his attacking value. For what it's worth, I think AJ is a really talented player but I'm not sure he's a great wide player. I think, if he's got the brains, he can adapt to become more like Giggs, where he can play all around the midfield as well as wide & chip in with a fair few goals too.

Agreed Ted he is talented lad but in the system were playing does it require a more mobile player. He seem to have more technique on the ball than young and Valencia, but they defend and attack. The rags seem to go for a mobile player and they havent done too badly. What I have seen from AJ is that he has had it in some games, most notably liverpool earlier in the season. But in others appears knackered. Is it a refueling problem after seeing him in the papers with Barry.

Would be happy with this stable of strikers.........

Dzeko, Balotelli, Aguero/Villa, Defoe/Vucinic. Anelka apparently available and Defoe falling out of love with Harry (and vice versa - Spurs could be tempted), Vucinic is as good as out of Roma (great record for them).

Don't we still have Caicedo, Santa Crutch, Jo, Nimely, Bellamy and Ade still on the books. Surely one of them could make our 5th striker. Never wanted to see Bellers go, anyway. Keep him, Roberto. The others can go.

Despite having contract until 2012? That'd be weird.
