Be interesting to see who of Savic, Boyata, Wabara and Boateng (should he stay) will be the first to properly break into the first team.

Nice work from Kolarov too.

Few snippets on him from Tor-Kristian Karlsen, a scout whos opinions on players i rate highly.

stefan savic/man city: very interesting centre back, seen him several times this year. calm, cultured, never stresses when under pressure

savic: good passer of the ball, mobile, reasonably quick. still very young, not extremely dominant but it'll come

When asked if Savic is better than Boateng;

i pefer savic as he's a better footballer and more mobile. boateng is fast but needs 10 meters tl get into the stride

Sounds very promising all in all.

Got his work permit then.

It is good that Kolarov has got in touch. He seems to be a good team man & popular. If only he could learn to be any use whatsoever on the pitch, we'd be in business.

Brilliant! Welcome to Manchester Stefan!

I got to say I had never heard of him until two weeks ago or so... and therefore I don't really have any expectations for him. hope he turns out to be quality.

With all the centre backs we're now amassing, I wonder if RM is contemplating playing with three central defenders and two, out and out, wing backs (better prospect for Kolarov ??).

The forthcoming US Tour and then Mr H's reports from pre-season training might give us some clues. All in all though, we should be well covered in defensive positions for the new season ahead.

He's got some dodgy hair:

Manchester City have completed the signing of the Montenegro defender Stefan Savic from Partizan Belgrade on a four-year contract.

The 20-year-old has been granted a work permit by the Home Office and becomes City's second signing in three days following the arrival of Gaël Clichy from Arsenal.

He moves to the Premier League 12 months after a trial period with Arsenal ended without a firm offer.

Savic told City's website: "I watch the Premier League all the time and I know it's the place to be so I am just looking forward to helping this club achieve great things. We have an incredible stadium and I've seen how passionate the City fans are many times on TV.

"Montenegro play England later this year so I'm expecting to have some great banter with the England lads. I'm just really happy to be a City player."

This.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

This could be a planned option by Bob,it would certainly be very interesting and the rest of the team is already set up well to adopt that formation. If the signs of this and the fluid forward mid and attack that we have seen so far from Mancini; then we could be in for some very interesting times ahead.

Never seen him play, be intresting to see how he performs. I assume our backline is this and everyone else will be shifted out??

Micah/Zabba vince/Lescott/Toure/Savic Clichy/kolorov

Out boateng, Boyata(possibly loan?), Onouaha?

Id be happy with that defensive 8 to get us where we want to be. priority has to be to shift some of those players now that are draining our wages.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
