Lavezzi ? Bob's big mouthed agent.

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Lavezzi ? Bob's big mouthed agent.

Postby Ted Hughes » Wed Jul 06, 2011 1:26 pm

Mancini's agent, Giorgio De Giorgis, spoke about City's pursuit of Lavezzi and even claimed England midfielder Gareth Barry could be a makeweight in the transfer.

He told Radio CRC: "Manchester City's interest in Lavezzi could be a reality.

"City have been negotiating for the past few months with Napoli, regardless of Tevez's situation. City has spoken to Napoli about Pocho (Lavezzi).

"But 31million euros for Lavezzi, I think it's excessive.

"However, to find a player who is ready like Pocho is, it's not easy.

"Manchester City could include a player in the deal, but I don't know what player could interest Napoli.

"The only one could be (Gareth) Barry, who is an England international and does not have a high salary."

Lavezzi is under contract with Napoli until June 2015 and has a release clause of 30million euros (£26.8million).

Napoli, like City, will play in next season's Champions League.

Now we have manager's agents talking about transfer business!

Bob should tell him to shut his fucking face.

Whatever he's on, I can't imagine that Bob is remotely pleased that his agent is suggesting he may be ready to let one of his players go. Barry will automatically think that Bob has told his agent this, when in fact it's probably just speculation.

I suppose it could be one of those fabricated stories or the bloke may be pretending to be his agent but imo, if it is his agent, it's disruptive & well out of order. I'd be furious if I was Bob.

He is exactly like Tevez as a player. Only much MUCH worse.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Hes no Tevez and I wouldnt say he was worth his release clause. But Ive seen him play for Napoli a few times in the Serie A, hes quick and good with his feet and is one of them players "like Tevez" that gives 100% for 90minutes, constant running on and off the ball. Never seen him actually score though.

In his past 4 seasons he has scored 6, 8, 7 and 8 goals respectively for Napoli. Hardly a profilic striker.

Who said he was a prolific striker?

Nobody did but I would imagine we need one. And kind of replied to Cityger that at least we shouldn't expect goals from him.

I don't see the point in signing a creative striker if we don't then have anyone to put the ball into the onion bag.
I'd rather sign a profilic striker and add creativity to wings/midfield.

He is a winger though really. Plays on the right of a forward three normally.

He is shite. He is a world class misser. Penalties, one on ones, you name it, he can score one of ten oportunities. Ask the Villareal fans, they will laugh their ass out.

Sometimes i wanna smack Bob for looking after these type of players.

If Lavezzi comes in....i give him 5 days maximum before a fight with Balo.

Thanks for clarifying that mate! It also makes his stats much better then. I always thought he's striker but then again I don't watch much of Italian football anymore

Lavezzi's role is not exactly clear even to me who watch Serie A regularly; on paper he's a striker, but in the system Napoli plays, with a lone real striker which is Cavani and two players behind him being Lavezzi and Hamsik, he doesn't play as a striker, but not as a winger either as he often plays in the middle of the park, just off the lone striker. He plays as if he were an attacking midfielder just like Hamsik, but then again, while he's creative, very pacey and thus quite dangerous in the final third of the pitch both for scoring and creating chances mainly for Cavani, he's not a traditional playmaker.
