How do you get Milner out of that description? Sounds a bit like the current Rooney role to me.

when milner was at villa, he wasn't playing as an out and out midfielder nor a striker. that's all.

Lavezzi to City? Only if Hamsik wouldn't be sold to AC Milan but however chairman of Napoli De Laurentis will pretend something like 30 ml £ to leave Pocho going to Eastlands. Too expansive player for me!

something like that, but he's much faster; he's also less deadly in front of goal imho, and generally a step or two behind Rooney.

And yet Sky Sport reported tonight that Udinese's chairman Pozzo said Napoli had made "an economically very interesting offer" for Sanchez, who, imho, would go straight into Lavezzi's spot if the Argentinian left Napoli and the Chilean went there. Somehting must be going on there, either Hamsik or Lavezzi will be leaving Napoli or at least De Laurentiis knows it's a real possibility to lose one of them so he looks for a replacement.

He's a striker right? He has a record at Napoli of 37 goals in 146 appearances.

How is this guy worth 30M euros?

How is he worth 10? or 5?

I can only conclude I am missing something here.

I dunno. I think he looks half decent personally. VERY Tevez-esque, but as a result I think he'd do well in the Premiership. Tricky little player. I think he'd flourish amongst better players. I reckon he'd be an upgrade on SWP anyway...

Firstly....it's a youtube video, given the right music and right editing you can make Samaras look good.
Secondly....it's a youtube video in which he spends half of the time falling over, given the previous point this really does speak volumes.
Thirdly....he is a striker and would be the replacement for Tevez, and from that video he is no upgrade on SWP as a winger.

Well we do need another player on the right, preferably one with a right foot so I suppose in that sense he fits the bill, but he is listed everywhere as a striker and if we are going to get a striker to play right wing, why not sign Aguero?

Maybe we'll sign them both with Tevez's departure?

cheers

I don't think he was a replacement. He was in addition. However i do think its Lavezzi or Nasri. With Aguero as Tevez's replacement.

He seems like a very direct winger with loads of tricks and speed. I think he would do well for us but would prefer sanchez. I dont see johnson as the answer on the left yet, so I would like Nasri as well. Plus aguero for Tevez

looks to me like an alternative to sanchez rather than a replacement to tevez.

Who? Lavezzi? No he isn't. Not direct at all from what I've seen of him and while not slow certainly not lighting fast either. Good dribbler though.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
