Essien's knee gone again

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Essien's knee gone again

Postby CityGer » Fri Jul 08, 2011 5:08 pm

Shame for the lad. Would have been world class if he hadn't blighted by these injuries over the lest three years. Still an exceptional footballer when firing.

Seems fairly serious but not confirmed yet.

It will be very interesting to see what Villas-Boas does. Mikel is a very ordinary footballer, Ramires is yet to convince and Lampard is getting on. I can see them spending big on a new midfield ball winner/anchorman and a playmaker.

This has also made me think how valuable Nige is. Chelsea, scum and Arsenal would all kill to have him.

Terrible news for him, great news for us especially if they don't go out and replace him

Blame being placed on Villa Boas for the injury which will likely see Essien miss the season.

Apparently his fitness training methods are "Jurassic"...

Always ends badly when you introduce dinosaurs. Always.

Essien will be a huge loss for them, GOOD! Ramires started to look a really good player towards the back end of last season, but he is not Essien.

That.

Big big loss for Chelsea although they'll never admit it!
