Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I've decided to start taking the train this year in order to have a beer at the match. What's the quickest way from Picadilly Station to the ground? Is it Store St - Old Mill St - Cambrian St - Phillips Park Rd? This is the only way i've been before. Reason being, my last train is 10.36 from Piccs and reackon its gonna be tight with the night matches.

Personally I go Store Street - Great Ancoats Street - Pollard Street/Merrill Street/Ashton New Road but I suppose it depends what side of the ground you want to get to/from.
Either way it should take about 25 minutes.

No problem mate.
To be honest I was surprised when I saw your post as I have been told by several people that Typical City is dead!

Walk to Pic is easily made from night matches for the 1042 I get. I usually have time for a beer in the Sports Bar.
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.

Can't risk it with the time mate as they wait to fill up after the match before setting off, with traffic can beat it on foot. Will probably go with the taxi or just drive for the 8pm kick offs .

As Nick stated, the 216 bus is always the best option from picadilly. Their is quite a few of them running at a time on matchday

The question now was back to Piccadilly after night games. I concur with Piccs and KK that walking is the best option. Waiting for the buses to fill up and leave is a bit risky if you only have about 30 minutes before you train departs.
The walk shouldn't take you more than 25 minutes, which leaves you approx. a 10 minute margin.

I'll believe that when I see it, unless Mr M puts some cash up! Can't wait for this to open.

this is correct just from Piccadilly to the ground not the Asda stop or anything beyond that - a bloke with an orange jacket told me this so it must be true
