SSN reckon we're happy to accept "just under £50M....as long as Tevez goes to South America"

Him and Messi get in each others way when they play together, they seem to do better with one or the other.

He's warmed up, looks like he's coming on for the last few mins of normal time.

Tevez had his penalty saved in the shootout.

Tevez shocker as he misses penalty in a typically selfish attempt to spend more time with his kids.

Argentina out now we can sign Sergio Aguero and try and conclude Tevez sale.

Great performance by the uruguayan goalkeeper.

You know what, I always thought Tevez was pretty shite at taking penalties. I mean he has had numerous of "nearly saved" for us and I seem to remember him having few saved for West Ham and/or rags. Other onbe is Barry who thankfully doesn't take them for us. He was one of the worst for Villa but always took them (except for Juan Pablo Angel against us.....*giggle*).

If people asked me who was our best penalty taker I couldn't tell but I'm pretty sure there are better than Carlos. Kolarov at least. Dzeko and Balotelli probably both know how to do it. Although taking penalties is something you have to train.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

He missed that pen for one reason, he has no focus on anything but money. Not the national team, watch for the abuse he will get fom the BA media. His focus is me me.

I've seen the game last night and he was shite. Almost didn't think he was on the pitch because he had no attitude, no influence, no nothing, he was a disgrace.
City must sell him asap because this is the only thing he is thinking off, if he stays he will have a poor season, because he will be unhappy from august to may. If he stays, the next summer he will be in the same spot as Ade, training with the reserves and calling Mourinho for a spot in his squad and no one will offer even 20 mil for him.

Exactly mate, I said as soon as he stepped up that he was missing. His tactic is just hit with power and hope.

Towards the end of last season he was on a terrible run with penalties and I was never confident when he was stepping up to take them.

Definitely no elano

I'm with Ruthless on this one.

There are negotiations and then there are negotiations. In this instance, Corinthians seem to be purely playing us for silly beggars and are stringing this saga along for their own, perverse reasons which seem to be more about raising their publicity profile and appearing to be in the 'Big Boys League', than being serious about buying Tevez.

As Ruthless might suggest, we ought to publicly issue a statement telling them to 'Put up or shut up', in plain English and without any diplomatic wrappings.
