Well done to the USA, they deserved to win that.

Their 'keeper is easy on the eye too!

Australia is an alright team overall, but their defence is a shambles.

Congrats mate. Our defence is new and it showed. Overall though I thought we were terrible. Sweden were technically superior and we just couldn't get into our rhythm.

Well done Mark Hughes. You've finally found your level.

Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I watched both games in a ram packed pub in Stockholm yesterday. Was a new expierence for me that was for sure. Really highlighted the equality gaps that exist between Scandanavia and the UK.

Both games were very entertaining. Especially the USA game. Pleasantly surprised.

Why can't English-speaking countries take penalties properly?

It was painful. Alex morgan is such a foxy striker. Scored one and made another. Her team should have made her a world cup winner. Gutted for them but hats off to Japan. They were the team of the tournament and stuck to their game plan and pulled it off. Happy for them.

Cheers

Japan deserved it 100%. Make good on your chances or lose. It's odd to watch a game without diving and begging for calls. Even the Japanese defender's Suarez-moment was far from blatant. I'm sure she didn't care if she got ball or not, but it looked like she did.

Brasil with an S Doug and not a z.

Just watched the Paraguay V Brasil match and Brasil took probably the 4 worst penalties I've ever seen.. didn't score one of them and they were knocked out.....which was nice.

Had a quick scan of twitter and it was full of negativety over the standards of the womens penalties (to be fair they werent great)

Had a good chuckle when I saw the Brazilian ones.

Might not be such a bad thing for Brazil not to win the Copa America. The weight of expectation going into the next world cup on home soil will be a little less after tonight.

Cant wait for the Chile game, A team I could never tire of watching.
