really hope we get this guy.

I know its a short time frame but really hope this can be done before letting Carlos go.

Aguero is about the only player who can fill Tevez's boots, seems very keen to join us too.
It'll be like replacing Tevez with a younger, less bitchy model.
Plus we will get the bonus of Maradona attending games. Pretty epic that.

I totally agree we need to sort things out as quickly as possible but I also think he's going to need some time off after the Copa America. The Argies going out early is a bonus for whoever he is playing for next season in that it brings him forward ten days or so.

I know very little about him, but the positive comments on hear are really encouraging. Tevez was immense, just brilliant. If he had stayed, I think we were in with a shout of the title.

Well heres a comparison......going in this we have fuckall to worry about..infact...its a great swap.
At just 23, Aguero is four years younger but has already scored 121 goals in 281 appearances for club and country (0.43 goals per game).
Tevez, by comparison, has scored 101 in 262 (0.39 goals per game).
Euro jackpot
Aguero has scored 16 goals in 34 appearances in European competition. Tevez has scored six in 33. Could Aguero be the key to City’s success in the Champions League?
Twenty-twenty vision
Aguero was joint third top scorer in the Spanish league last season — his 20 goals eclipsed only by Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Tevez came top of the Premier League chart with the same
number. Remarkably, each scored 33 per cent of his team’s goals.
One for the team
Tevez directly contributed to 43 per cent of Manchester City’s 60 goals, whereas Aguero scored or assisted in 35 per cent of Atletico’s 62 goals in La Liga last season.
Goal machine: Aguero has been a regular scorer for Atletico Madrid
Vital statistics
City have never lost in the league when Tevez has scored, drawing twice andwinning 25 times. Aguero’s goals in the last two seasons came in 15 wins, four draws and six defeats for Atletico.
Golden boys
Both men have won Olympic gold medals with Argentina, Tevez in 2004 and Aguero in 2008.

If he can quickly develop a good understanding with either Dzeko or Balotelli we could well be getting the thick end of a good wedge for once.

I don't know about technically SUPERIOR but pretty much as good. Aguero is also quite strong same way as SWP is strong ie he will not be pushed off the ball easily and can win some balls. He covers as much grass as Tevez do. Only real difference is that I think Aguero has even MORE bit of magic about him than Tevez but on the other hand Tevez is more willing to drop REALLY deep to pick up some balls.

the one thing i haven't noticed in the 5 or 6 times i saw Aguero in the last 2 seasons is that ability to score the "goal from nowhere" that Tevez has. Sounds like you've watched him a bunch more than i have...what do you think of his ability to snag a goal from seemingly nothing? Tevez is one of the best at it...it's the one bit of magic i think we may still miss even if we bring Aguero in, but i hope i'm wrong.

I certainly do think he has got that game breaker talent and ability.
