Based on what???

I understand he's injury prone but let's stop pretending he is some sort of top class player.

He's been shite his whole career, even in those years at Bayern where he managed to appear more than 10 times in a season.

As far as value for money goes, both were better than either of Jo and Santa Cruz.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

RSC was worse because he was NEVER worth the fee. At least Jo seemed like a decent player until he joined us, who could have known he wouldnt make it in the PL.

Crocky is a different matter, lack of any effort was the norm when he mannaged to drag his sorry arse off the treatment table, he sums up exactly why that dogs bast*rd hughes is now where he belongs.......on the dole*, a first touch like steven hawkings with the speed of a fat sloath thrown in made this a disaster of a signing from the start.

Nice comments Blue on blue.

These mirror exactly my own feelings about Spews.

The game soon began to drift as both coaches looked for a spark to create the decisive moment and Martino brought Roque Santa Cruz into the fray with 15 minutes to go.
The Manchester City hitman lasted just seven minutes before he limped off clutching his right hamstring.

Santa Cruz was injury prone, but he has two things Jo never had.

1st when he did play on rare occassion, he at least threatened to score a goal. He did bag a few for us in limited appearances at least.

2nd he had magical hair.

Case closed.
Tracking back is overrated.

I'm 100% certain we signed Jo on the back something like this.

agree, i personally think RSC got a raw deal from us.

Absolutely. RSC could be a useful player for us yet as with Dzeko we completely failed to have the players around him to supply the ball.

I don't know what the fuck Hughes was thinking, but I have to say that although RSC was injured for most of the time Hughes was here, when he came on the pitch he had no chance. Hughes should have been sacked for this signing alone - not necessarily for signing him, but for having no fucking plan whatsoever of how to get the ball to him when he eventually put him on the pitch. For Blackeye, Pederson and Bentley were on fire that season down the wings. Hughes never, ever played a winger in the "down the line and whip it in" mold. Crass fucking stupidity, and it is one case where I would have liked Marwood/Cook to have told the manager to stop being a fucking idiot and look elsewhere.

I see something similar happening with Dzeko - sign a big cunt up front, and don't consider how the hell we are going to get the ball up there! Dzeko fails, everyone says its a shit signing, bollocks, its a decent signing if you get some players in to supply him. If you dont, I don't see the fucking point buying the guy in the first place.
