Agüero's agents are only working toward City

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

If you think City were "shocked" or "surprised" (in tabloid terminology) that Corinthians couldnt come up with the goods, and in reality dont have a pot to piss in, then you're as gullable as the average Sun reader.

I would be certain that the powers that be at City were well prepared for Corinthians sudden withdrawal, quite a while ago. Aguero augments the squad well and should come in regardless of Carlos the home-sick maverick. Once Aguero comes in it puts us in a stronger spot, with the strikers we would have at our disposal.

As Tevez for Schneijder exchange deal, in some format, would appear to solve a few problems for us.

This.

Everyone knows Tevez will go, it's just a matter of time.

Would be foolish not to prepare for the coming storm.

I seriously doubt we'd sell Tevez in January. It would mess up the way we've been playing and an ideal replacement would either not be available or be well overpriced. Plus anyone we did buy would need a settling-in period. I have complete confidence in the way we do business these days. If we don't sell Tevez this summer, he'll be staying until next summer.

But didn't Mancini say in one interview that the Aguero deal depends on whether Tevez stays or something to that extent?

Really hope this is not true.

the MUEN don't know shit....just lazy reporting of one obvious conclusion of Tevez staying

He won't be staying and we won't ice the Aguero deal IMO

Bang on. You never know, Tevez could be all happy and want to stay again if Aguero comes in .... and he might get to learn a bit more English off Aguero after a couple of weeks as well.

the inference from the Corinthians Clowns statement was that they will work toward completing the Tevez deal in the next window. In which case City will sign Aguero now, and Tevez will play IF NEEDED. I'm sure the delicate soul will understand that, if he wants to move down there.

You have to start a new thread for things like this. Keeping things concise in one thread is just stupid! Come on man!

The main sports papers in Spain haven't really got anything new on this yet today, I guess they are waiting to get at their spies within Atletico. However several other sites have a range of 'nearly done' stories about Kun packing his bags etc. One site yesterday said that an agreement had been reached. Still wondering what these 'Sky sources' are!!!

This article one hour ago basically says that Real have discounted all possibility of signing Aguero as they await the arrival of Neymar. It seems City are the only players in the game right now.

Sky Sports News sources understand striker Sergio Aguero has told Atletico Madrid that he wants to join Manchester City if they make a bid for his services.

The sought-after Argentina international has already confirmed his intention to depart the Vicente Calderon this summer.

City have made no secret of their desire to sign the talented 23-year-old, although they are yet to lodge an official offer.

It was reported by Sky Sports News on Thursday that the Premier League outfit are ready to enter formal talks with Atletico over the transfer of the striker.

And sources close to Aguero say he has informed the Primera Liga club he is keen on joining Roberto Mancini's side if they come knocking.

Youtube time me thinks

Mancini is eager to complete a swoop for the forward regardless of the outcome of the Carlos Tevez transfer saga this summer, with the striker's future still up in the air
