That's 18 senior players. 20 if you count Tevez and Onuoha but they are probably offski.

I honestly think we need depth especially in midfield and replacement for Tevez of course. And back up keeper.

Boyata? K.Toure? V.Weiss? Nimely?

Kolo I missed. Rest aren't really "senior" players.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Well, Weiss doesn't count as U21 anymore & if he should stay it's fair to assume he'll play a part in the senior squad.

Is Logan being kept around for the HG quota? I thought he was gone...

Logan was released and he is in Brentford now.

I struggle to believe Weiss will be regular contributor next season.

For UEFA purposes the U21s count though, don't they. There are also the rules on home grown players that might restrict signings.

It's nice to see that we appear to be going for quality rather than quantity. Taylor is really the only guy I'd have concerns about playing at the moment. Otherwise we've generally been keeping the best to ourselves and selling the rest.

There's the possibility that we'll sign Aguero while the Tevez situation is unclear. Doesn't worry me, but we need the space.

We haven't replaced Vieira but if Milner is moving inside then we probably don't need anyone.

Aguero, De Rossi or Nasri and Cerci.

No sub goalkeeper will be bought, believed Mancini is adopting the model of one out and out first choice, backed up by a true back up keeper, content to remain number 2, with the kids gunning after his spot.

I think it's a fair assumption though that, at this moment in time, if we had to submit the 25 man squad today he'd be in it as a back up player. I've not seen him linked with a move away since he came back from Rangers and he's been taken to the USA, so I think he will be in the squad as back up (and home grown)

As long as we don't sign him I reckon I will be alright. But hearing and reading Schneijder every fucking day the next few years would definitely do my head in.

Hold your fucking breath and wait for me to care.....

I'll learn to spell his fucking almost kraut name when it appears on the back of a City shirt, until then, if you knew who I was fucking talking about, then contribute to the thread or shut the fuck up.

I dont think we'll buy a keeper, Taylor n the two young lads we have will be used, the three i think we'll sign are

Aguero
Nasri
Mata / Lukaku

With these additions we could well be top of the pile come next May

sounds a bit daft but i think we need to replace paddy v one way or another. at times (especially towards the business end of the season) he was fantastic, was always good to have him on the bench. i would welcome an experienced midfielder.

I agree in some respects. I think there's a place in the squad for an old head in the centre of the park in terms of the experience that that adds but there's also the cost in terms of taking pace out of our own game. At the moment we have a reasonably good panel of experienced players in the mix for the middle of the park: Barry, de Jong, Yaya and Milner. It's just that 3 of them might be playing together often so options would be limited for fresh legs. There's some scope for giving Ibrahim more gametime and Zabaleta is an option in the centre too. If we sign Nasri or Aguero then Yaya will probably spend less time attacking and Milner won't end up wide as often either.

We don't have long term cover for de Jong, but maybe we're thinking on the basis of buying someone at Christmas if we need them. We're busy in the market at the moment so maybe it's better to put it on the long finger and see if we really do need someone or if Vieira's job has already been done.

I Know the thread is 3 more signings but I would like all four especially if Tevez goes. Lukaku can take his place.
