Manchester City set to complete Sergio Aguero transfer
Aguero scored 20 goals in La Liga for Atletico last season Argentina striker Sergio Aguero has arrived in Manchester to complete his move to Manchester City after they agreed a fee with Atletico Madrid.
The 23-year-old frontman is reported to have agreed terms on a five-year deal, with the fee thought to be about £38m.
Aguero Tweeted: "Just arrived in Manchester to finalise details of deal with City. Everything is going well."

Great stuff!

I can see him and Silva tearing some teams apart.

I'd have thought he would have gone straight to Greggs from the Airport.

Also why was a pushing his own luggage trolley?

The one thing I don't like about this move is him shitting on his soon to be former club. I'm afraid he'll do a Tevez in a year or two. I'd rather watch the 06/07 dvd than going through that shit again.

not sure he is shltting on anyone. Clubs like to make out they are the victim all the time. Kun has done well for them and they stand to make a alot of money out of his departure. Let's face it, if they didnt want him to go they dont have to sell him.

On another note. I have a sneaky feeling that Tevez will be leaving VERY shortly after Kun signs (if he signs). I suspect that City were confirming that Carlos' replacement was signed up before allowing him to leave and leave them with a gap. Take into account the FFP rules and it is almost certain that the 35-40m deficit from Aguero's purchase will be resolved quite quickly.

As an Atleti fan I certainly dont feel shat on!
Seriously , we´ve been flat-lining for a while now coz we haven´t got funds. Now Atleti can re-invest big time - alraedy signed Adrian and now I would expect some decent arrivals - shame we probably won´t get Cazorla but we simply have to start competing with Malaga and the dosh will go a long way to doing that
Plus he has been prevented from going to Madrid. Hope City have a clause saying he can´t go to them twats either!
Atletico fans will get over it and wish him luck

That's the thing though. His wish was to join them, kicked up a fuss, but couldn't, burned all bridges, now has to join City. He even said he never felt like a rojiblanco. I know professional football players are no supporters & all that jazz, but after 5 years, that's some kick in the teeth, don't you think? Certainly not the best behaviour.

Aguero is nothing like Tevez.

He was stand out in a mediocre team, rightly looking to use his talent to win trophy's and while it is a heartbreak for the fans, it will long term benefit them.

I can not begrudge Aguero for trying to get out a.s.a.p, a player of his standard should be challenging for honours, not scraping europa qualification each year.

Make no mistake Aguero in Athletico was outstanding, Aguero in City will be out of this world.

He could be a ballon d'or winner in a few years time. That level of player.

Make no mistake, I'm absolutely buzzing about Aguero as he is super star calibre imo and one fo the few who could genuinely replace Tevez. However I do agree with people who are saying he needs to show bit more class towards Atletico. I hate bitter parting shots may it be our former players or players coming in. Especially as I don't see any need for that in this case.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

it wouldn't be a City forum without some morose bastard with a half empty glass.....jesus 1950 mate

He did anything BUT shit on Atleti....he signed a new contract so they could get a big bloody value for him when he left. He could have just run his deal down but didn't. He's given them great service and wants to now move on. He does 3-4 years here and gives us the same and I'd happily see him off with my blessings too.

You make it sound as if he doesn´t want to come? No-one has forced him to come to us - he knew the score with Madrid clause and he has accepted that - where´s the quote about not feeling like a "colchonero"?

Just crawled from my bed in an NYC hotel to pick up this news . Great boost. If Tevez stays too, as no-one can afford him, here comes the title people, here it comes. We have as good a shot as anyone.

I want 5-6 year of Aguero magic here minimum but agree with your points mate.

He could have easily not signed a new deal but he did, athletico aren't that hard done by, £38 million is a shit load of money...

I mean they could buy Stuart Downing AND Jordan Henderson for that....

Or perhaps even an Andy Carroll with a bit of change...

*snigger*

Am certain they'll be more intelligent with there money than the scousers though!

So many bitter bitter bitter cunts in work. Sat there in the canteen like the three fuckin witches off Macbeth, one a Bolton fan, one an Arsenal fan and one munich. I'm making a brew and they go on about "Aguero coming to City to sit on the bench", "City spend loads of money on crap players like Dzeko, Balotelli, Silva (WTF!) etc", "They're not being fair on Tevez, he should just sit at home and not turn up to training..." Then they have the fuckin cheek to ask me as a supporter what I think...I just simply said "City are shit. We'll never win anything...money can't buy success" and walked out. Pricks.
