From what I saw it looked more like he was playing Yaya's role, Guidetti would draw players out of position and SWP would exploit the space

I actually think Taylor's been ok in general, he had one brain fart that should have been a goal against us which I will put down to rustiness, but he handles crosses well usually, and he's constantly organising the defence. No idea what his shot stopping is like though.

Im very impressed with our youth set up at the minute. Bags of potential in there.

There obviously training the right way aswell. Pass focused and good patient build up play.

better 2nd half. is it me or did we look like mini-arsenal when the two 2 Spaniards and the Italian came on? Savic ability to read the game is good just need to be stronger and tougher.

Agreed ^^^

Reminded me of how Spain's u21s played in the Euros this summer. Lots of technical playesrs on show. Suarez looked great. Just always wants the ball. Roman looked bright too and technically good when he came on. Impressed by Rekik's composure too.

Couldn't stop laughing at Luca Scapuzzi's name.

It reminded me of this so much for some reason.

I think in a few years Razak, Suarez, and Roman could form a very good home grown midfield. Razak is almost De Jong like in how he uses his body to keep possesion. Suarez looks like a mini Silva - all very good

I was about to post something similar about Razak, he didn't give the ball away much and I liked how he held players off using his strength. He looked composed and confident and just got on with it.

Pretty boring game, good win though and a couple of points to take from it.

Suarez and Roman look like big talents, even that Scapuzzi looks worth a punt. Good day for all the kids though.

SWP and Johnson did well as expected, Savic also did very well, Barry did a typical Barry performance, solid not amazing.

..and finally Guidetti is just not up to it... I'm sorry but he was shocking on a stage where he should have shone. Don't know why we fought so hard to keep him, looks like Ched Evans v2.

Nasty shit-stirring questions by the Sky touchline reporter to Adam Johnson and SWP; Johnson showed great diplomacy and tact not to clock him
You can be sure he wouldn't put those kind of questions to their beloved ManUre's players

Very, very, very impressed with Razak. Showed a potential Gareth Barry style ability to read the game & looks like a proper footballer; getting the job done rather than showing off. He obviously has more in his locker but is happy to play for the team.

Two Spanish lads look very confident & talented as does Rekik. Good to see AJ start playing as I thought he was gash 1st half. Savic & Boyata do not look ready for the PremierLeague imo. Too many unforced errors.

SWP looks fitter to me; as if he's put some extra work in. Not giving the ball away half as much either. Has a good chance of getting a spot in the squad imo.

One injury to Aguero would leave us with Dzeko, Balo & Guidetti, if Tevez goes. Imagine Guidetti at the Nou Camp? No? Neither can I.
We MUST replace Tevez if he leaves.

100% agree with that, Mancini is spot on that we must replace Tevez with someone of equal quality if he was to leave.

Glad to see Mancini confirm that AJ is going nowhere, I know a few on here disagree but I think he really offers us a lot and is a great asset.

what was the question?

Something along the lines of "would you not have expected to be picked in tomorrow's game, Adam?", and "will you be having to go out on loan to get some game time this season?"
Nothing about "outstanding, well-taken goal", or "you're starting to get up to speed and will have put in a claim for a place in the Charity Shield game"
All negative stuff

Sounds like Manc might have been putting SWP in the shop window,- (and by implication, Vlad Weiss, also),- rather than looking to work him into the first-team squad.
Though I suppose it all depends on what this Serie A wing-target is like
