I think Mancini signposted it when he said it would be another month before we are 100%, does he still not understand the demands of the Prem? Had that game been the first of pre-season I could've understood the apparent fitness levels but that was worrying

Maybe he wants the players slightly under cooked so that we stronger than the rest at the end of the season?
Not saying it's the right strategy but we did finish last season very strongly.
