I'm hoping that Aguero will do the same sort of thing for us.

Here's hoping pal if Carlos was playing today we would have gone out that second half and gone forward defending from the front. Instead.

How come Aguero was ready to play for us in the CS and Tevez wasn't? they both played in the Copa America so why was one given more time off than the other?

this may have been covered but have not seen it - but for the 3rd goal did Nani handball it when he went through - hard to see from where I was and after looking at replays from the recording it is also hard to see - surprised there were no slow motion replys to clear it up

Not meaning to cluthch at straws - we got what we deserved in the 2nd half - just womdering

and for those saying this game wasnt important. personally i think thats bullshit. any game against that lot is important. i hate to say it but at times utd were fucking superb. its been a long time since i have seen them playing stuff like that. their second was a great goal.

city need to fucking step it up because at the moment we are no where near that level. for most of today we were like a team of strangers.

Just got back and we didn't look at all fit. Micah and Joleon were the pick. Kolarov looked good and Dzeko's goal was a beast. However, pace is an issue and it has been for some time. Also, the corner kicks were poor and was how they got the winner. Their first goal was offside and Nani handles the ball for the third. Dowd gave them EVERYTHING.

One coach of toothless alcoholics at Warwick services supporting utd from Manchester and about 27000 londoners down there. Saw them going in their front doors around Hanger Lane! Unbelievable.

Last year, Chelsea showed how quickly a team's form can change. I expect ours will improve by miles after the window closes, Tevez and other distractions are gone, and the new players settle.

Another thing. Shrek waving at us after Nani's goal. This odious thick f*cker nearly signed for City.

Fair play to Nani for the skill and he celebrated with HIS fans. For all his "Mary Ellen" whinging he concentrates on his own world.

Simple as this, not fucking good enough. I know some people view this as a friendly but at the end of the day it's still another trophy and against our most hated rivals. Beating them would also strike a blow psychologically. We just weren't up to it.

I'm sorry but especially Barry, Milner and Dzeko all aren't cutting it. I was wrong about Dzeko I thought he would be a decent signing originally but he seems so slow - like a fucking donkey. If he gets any worse the only place who'd have him after us is blackpool beach for one of their tourist attractions.

As for Balotelli, I've been a big supporter of him but he really needs to stop all the drama and just play football to his maximum ability - which is huge. I think this season is do or die for him.

Fuck knows what Bellamy and Adebayor are thinking watching that load of shite. They must've both double penetrated Mancini's wife.

Well... That was painful.
I wasn't able to watch it live so I waited all day and avoided hearing the score to watch it later.
What a disaster.
I was literally screaming at my tele when Nani was one on one with Hart. How the fuck do the rags always win in stoppage time? It's sickening.
Thank fuck this was only a pre season game. Hopefully it will give the players a hard kick so that they don't lose again for a while.

Was hoping to see Aguero, but was pleasantly surprised with Dzeko. Hope he'll keep improving.

Well being there yesterday had some negative and positive sides to it.

Negative was obviously the result and the fact that on the whole we didn't play as well as we should have done. Having gone 2-0 up we should have gone for the kill but instead sat back and invited United at us, and they duly scored a couple early on in the second half. I think had we gone to 60 minutes still 2-0 up it might have been a different story.

Unlike the FA Cup semi, we didn't push up high enough and force them into defensive errors, which was basically how Nani got our defenders in a panic and went on to score the winner. There's clearly a lot to learn from this match and hopefully Mancini will see this and rectify some glaring errors.

Another negative was the swathe of empty seats in the City end - we clearly didn't sell all our tickets and I felt a little ashamed of that, I have to say.

Positive though was the City fans who were there were vocally pretty loud, and the mass Poznan again when the United team was being read out - it really did feel like everyone got involved in that. And Joleon Lescott scoring meant that my friend who was with me at the game won handsomely - he was 28-1 for first goal!

Let's hopefully move on from this.

Pre- season prep simply not adequate enough - we should have been ready but were shambolic from the start. 2 up without getting IN to first gear let alone getting out of it gives me some grounds for hope but we simply cannot have another aberration like that 2nd 45 again. Terrible. Have only just been able to bring myself to post, well not being able to even turn on the laptop hasn't helped (fuck my head hurts!). Poor performance all round we just didn't seem half as up for it as they did. Maybe the fact that in the other pre season games bar Inter we haven't played the lads together as a team, hasn't helped matters. Ah well roll on Monday.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

United looked fitter, sharper and about 2 weeks ahead of us in match-readiness yesterday.

We looked lead-footed and lethargic, and the spine of our team and big 3 of Kompany, De Jong and Ya Ya had poor games which would always put us in a big hole. Lescott was effin awful and looked like he played in skates, whilst Balotelli was a complete waste of time and should have subbed at h-t.

Hopefully yesterday will serve as a kick in the pants reminder, as they were far more ready for the game and it showed. We looked under-cooked for the want of a better word. As a fan Ive had better days but Id much rather have lost yesterday than in the Prem so I hope we are damn sight more committed and alive when we play them on the 23rd October.

Is it me or have we not played anything like the amout of pre-season games we normally do ? Against strong(ish) oppo I mean?

Inter Milan and Man UTD - romped one - played well for 20 mins (and scored twice, which shows how good we are when we play well)
Not enough for me - would like to see an improvement on this next year
