My point is that he can't sign a contract surely? A contract binds him to the club...he hasn't signed anything, i'm sure. Maybe terms have been discussed, but if it took Aguero that long to get his deal finalised, even with little resistance from Atletico, then its unlikely that Nasri's is done when Arsenal have not even agreed a fee yet in my opinion...

Boeteng agreed a deal with Bayern before we had even agreed to sell him, let alone a fee

Agree, hope we can get it done before the Swansea game.

people are quoting l'Equipe, but I'm buggered if I can find anything on its website.

This seems like it could be genuine. Different sources giving same outcome plus Arsenal signing the obligatory overrated kid. Seems logical. Good signing if it happens. Ballplayer, a few goals, decent pace. Another dimension to our attack. All good.

L'equipe also says Nasri is injured:

Samir Nasri, victime de douleurs musculaires a, lui, passé des examens à l'hôpital. Les résultats devraient être connus dans la soirée. Les deux joueurs ne sont, pour l'instant, pas forfaits pour le match de mercredi à Montpellier face au Chili, en amical.

Translation:

Nasri is suffering muscle pains and has had tests in hospital. The results should be known this evening (8th August). Nasri (and the c@nt evra) will miss the friendly v Chile on Wednesday in Montpellier.

isn't that the one that said Arse and Arse were resigned to losing him.
This claim is that l'Equipe is saying he's "signed a contract".
i can't see that anywhere.

"Nasri a déjà trouvé un accord de principe avec les Citizens qui seraient prêts à verser une indemnité de transfert de 22 millions d'euros à Arsenal."

OK, "trouve un accord" means "reached an agreement" rather than signed a contract, but he can't sign a contract until Arsenal say he can. Seems very much like the boateng situation to me.

So basically y'all are talking about news I gave the very day it was released in L'Equipe (three day ago, you can see the date on the link), and I translate the page just before ? :)

In France, no news about Nasri and City. L'Equipe and RMC (two of the most reliable) said he was on his way to City, so if he make any move this summer I can't see him go anywhere but City.
