I Despair!!!!!!

Funnily enough I thought we would have learnt from last season with the "we are doomed sack everyone" reaction to every bad result or poor performance however judging by the reaction to a preseason friendly it would seem not.

We can debate the merits of tactical decisions, lineups and player performances although it usually comes down to calling someone a cunt and that someone is usually Mario and then calls to sign 'xyz' and then bemoaning the fact we didn't have or use Ade or Bellamy and wishing they were on the pitch.

No one seems to have grasped why Ade or Bellamy are not on the pitch and why Mario and Dzeko are - the first Mancini believes he can teach and is worth the effort and the second is a very good goalscorer with a first class attitude and attitude is something Mancini values.

Taggart has persevered with the likes of Nani and Anderson for several seasons in an attempt to make something of them and in Nani's case it is paying off. We on the other hand will barely give someone several months - heck in Dzeko's case it was 2 games before we are writing him off. Mind you some were writing off Silva after a month and wishing we had bought Van Der Vart so go figure.

Ah who cares. You only have to read some of the knee jerk shite from last season to know that most on here have fuck all clue about football or squad building so I don't expect this season to be any different.

Everytime someone complains about a shite performance, one of the crew get all high and mighty and talk about the "big picture" and in this case the fact that last season we reached our targets.

Ok so, maybe we should just discuss things at the end of the season then, instead of after every game?
Obviously I'm not serious, that would be ridiculous.


Anyway, we looked completely disjointed for the most part and worse still, we looked scared again. Fear was one thing I thought would be banished after our Cup win. Not so.

That said, the fact we were so shit and brought the game to the dying seconds against a United side in top form coupled with how excited United fans are based on that result and I'm not gonna lose too much sleep over the coming season... YET.

I’m not overly worried and if you watch the game again you will that the intensity level wasn’t there like it would be in a competitive game. You may not like it as we were playing the rags but the game was a friendly, end of.

Players are not like fans lads and we need to accept this, they don’t feel the hatred towards the rags like we do and no doubt all the City and United players were having a big hug off in the changing rooms after. Football isnt like in the past where players hated each over on and off the pitch, they are all mates nowadays.

I don’t have any doubts that our boys wanted to win but yesterday we were not up too much, I reckon you will see a different level all together next Monday.

get nasri in this week, carlos shutting his mouth up and just practicing all week, and then a good start is needed on Monday to get things moving.

yesterday was abysmal...lackluster. The only bright spot was how Jayko made their keeper look like shit. Nani, as much as i hate that little wacko jacko fucler, is class. He made his first goal look easy, and it surely wasn't. And lots of players would have made a meal of scoring the final one. And yes, before you ask, i do hate the little twat, but you have to hand it to him...he did a job on us.

Next time will be different...i think Vinny said it best today if you read his quotes.

Although Ant London has declared an early end to the season even BEFORE their 3rd goal, i still think we're going to do great things. I'm excited honestly. Someone call me a fucktard please....it shouldn't take long for the "free thinkers union." Wink. Wink. Wink.

I suppose on the bright side they were all over us yet only managed to beat us by one goal during injury time. We'll play better no doubt. And hopefully with a bit more determination and bottle.
We definitely need another player to close the gap between midfield and strikers though and yesterday showed that big time. I'm sure it's already being looked at (Nasri, etc).

On a side note it was nice to see Edin square up to Predator. Doesn't seem the type but he showed more fight in those 10 seconds than most others in a blue shirt yesterday. And I still think Mario will go down as the first person to ever murder someone on a football field. It's just a matter of time.

i've really only heard moaning to be honest...i think those of us, including me, who've added something positive are just trying to shut out what a shit performance it was, and with a chance to lay down a marker for the season.

Last competitive game we beat Stoke in the FA Cup final everything was Rosy

, now next game we lose to the Rags in the Community Shield & suddenly we are shit, the manager is fuckin useless , we need to buy half a team etc,etc.
Everybody is reacting like the Daily Mail headline writers, get a fuckin grip!!!!

This one match has wiped out all the good feelings we had at the end of last season.
It wasn't just that we lost (and to the Rags at that), it was how we lost. 2 goals up in the 1st half and then level after 15 minutes into the 2nd and the usual last minute winner because of a stupid fuck-up by our best defender last season and our Captain no less !

Add to that the negative tactics of Mancini' taking off a striker and bringing in Barry when we needed to score. Whatever you might say about Balo, we all know he can score any minute and out of nothing. 6 subs were allowed and Mancini only used 3 and kept Shaunie on the bench !!
As Ted said, no one is talking about getting rid of Mancini but we have the right to feel bad about what happened yesterday and not hide behind the myth that it was a pre-season friendly. The other team certainly didn't see it that way!

Yesterday's performance was on a power with the Liverpool away game last season. After that game the way were battered by the scousers, Tevez getting injured, any optimism I had for the season was gone. I thought they would lose the FA Cup Semi 5 days later and not finish in the top 4, looked what happened, won the cup & finished 3rd. So why can't we still be improve this season despite yesterday's Fuck up?
