Doesn't sound too happy does he - a man resigned:

0936: FOOTBALL - BBC sport news correspondent Dan Roan on Twitter: "We are all replaceable...you do not want to lose big players..you fight to keep them."

0935: FOOTBALL - Daily Mirror writer Darren Lewis on Twitter: ""Cesc is not on strike. He is not match fit. I do not want to go into anything else.""

0932: FOOTBALL - BBC sport news correspondent Dan Roan on Twitter: "We are all replaceable...you do not want to lose big players..you fight to keep them."

0927: FOOTBALL-Arsene Wenger has said that Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri will not be in the squad for Saturday's game against Newcastle.

0922: FOOTBALL - BBC sports news correspondent on Twitter: "Wenger: 'I expect nobody to leave the club. (!) At the moment there is no news. What we want today is to focus on the players who can help'"

0921: FOOTBALL - The Times football correspondent Oliver Kay on Twitter: "Wenger: "Manchester United sold Ronaldo. Does that mean they are not a big club?"

He's just trying to give the Arsenal fans the impression they're fighting to keep them whilst, obviously, leaving the door open to them leaving.

Wenger is a fucking cunt.

They ask him if he's happy about Barca publicly saying they're talking to Fabregas & he says " I don't want to talk about it" then they ask if he thinks Nasri has been tapped up & he says "Do you?" & gives a snidey little smile, then clearly nods & winks at journalists before saying "I have no evidence".

Why is he treating us differently to Barca? The fucking shithouse.

The bastard totally bottled talking about Barca, just said it's not the time to talk about players leaving then when asked AGAIN said he doesn't want to talk about it. Then allows the journos to keep pressing on Nasri being tapped up & gives them snidey smiles before covering his arse legally. What a fucking, slimey, cheese eating, bottle merchant. Just like his fucking team.

Aye, and as my Arsenal supporting mate has pointed out Wenger has been moaning about Rosell and Barca for about two years now, but he's finally given in.

So after wengers interview are we any clearer on if/when he will sign?

Think i might go change my "first manager sacked this year" answer to wenger on the quiz thread.

Why is he treating us differently to Barca? The fucking shithouse.

I was talking to a mate the other day and he was saying how bad it would be to lose the likes of Cesc and Nasri from Arsenal, due to their Barca style of football. He also thought it'll be the end of Wenger who would be off by the end of the season. This kind of struck a nerve with me leaving me spitting at the thought that Arsenal are anywhere near Barca, or anywhere in this league to be honest.

What the fuck has Wenger done to earn all these plaudits, even his best players want out. When was the last time he won a Cup with his style of football; when was the last time he won the league playing the way he does?

We all like Arsenal for the way they play but when you consider the above it's all just a waste of time. Arsenal have massive funds and their fans pay ridiculous amounts to support their team, but what do they get back? They'll tell you it's all about the football but deep inside, all's they want to do is win a trophy, be it the league, CL, FA or League Cup. They know that Arsene's team have no backbone and that his purchases have been quite dreadful in terms of bringing that steel to the field of play. Then he goes on record and blames the pitch, the referee or anything out there when they fall apart when what he needs to do is look at himself and try to understand that he needs to breed some sort of mettle in these players before they can play that tippy-tappy type of football. This is the Premier League after all where we still have some sort of touch-football in effect.

Me personally, I'm sick to fucking death of hearing all this 'Beautiful Football' shit for the media's sweethearts, and I'm sick of seeing their brand of football that leads to nothing more than that sig. It's just a cop-out, giving their fans something to hang their hats on while the club take them for every penny they've got. Saying that though, their fans are just as bad, each year believing it's their turn, their right to be contesting on every level but knowing deep down that it will all fade away come the time when it counts.

Anyway, sorry, what was I saying? Ahh, that was it, Wenger's a Cunt!

Beefy - Wenger has been living off his reputation for a bit now. Fortunately for him he built SUCH a good reputation that he could afford to do that. It's easy to forget what he achieved, but he made Arsenal fucking amazing at one point, and he's completely revitalised the club and given them an identity and a purpose over the past ten years. He's a hero for the Arsenal fans, and rightfully so...it's only in the past two years though that people are starting to wear thin of him as his excuses 'my players are young, wait until next season!' as his youngsters haven't produced the goods as promised. He's also signing some absolute duds - Squillaci springs to mind. His persistence with Almunia too for god knows how long is borderline mental.

So, you're confirming what I said mate. He started off a storm but then hasn't had the naus to take the club any further, apart from monetary wise.

But you said what has he done to earn these plaudits....he's done quite a lot, was my point - and it's now that he's being asked questions - and that's about right in my opinion. He deserved, for everything he has done, a few years to turn it around. That times up now.

People do not still put him on a pedastal. Arsenal fan are turning against him now it seems too.

Imo Wenger was fortunate to get success off the foundations laid long before he joined. Once he started building his own team ... well you know the rest

Exactly mate. Someone pointed it out the other day, not sure who. Wengers most successful teams had a defence built on foundations laid by George Graham

Fair one, but I'm not talking about his past but more about his recent time, which I thought I'd covered in the rest of the post. It could even be argued that he won his trophies off the back off Graham's team, but that's another debate.

And as you say in your last sentence, even his own are starting to see the truth, which again, only goes to back up what I said.
