If it's true I'll be sorry to see him go, especially with how well he played in preseason. I just wish he could have had a final derby appearance for us at the weekend.

Loved him first time round, but clealy not good enough now. A few decent performances in pre season friendlies is irrelevant really. But sorry to see him go.

I was surprised not to see him at Wembley; SWP has owned Evra every time they have played against each other. Just one of those strange match-ups that hapen in sport. He has his number, plain and simple. I cannot believe he's finished with us. I rate him more than AJ, I really do. Not saying AJ is not full of potential, he is, it's just that I prefer SWP.

The problem with SWP has always been that he needs to play in to form, he's never at his best coming on for the odd 15 mins here and there but if we used him regularly in cup games he's surely worth keeping hold of
