Fabregas officially on his way

Arsenal have agreed terms, they really need to spend some of that money otherwise the fans are probably going to lose the plot

Barca went about all of this in the wrong way. It was poor from them talking about Fabregas for a year like he was their player.

Think it was more like three years.

27m + some odd ons. Arsenal have been raped here. They paid more for Sanchez and when you think about Henderson going for only something like seven million less....just crazy.

If they really sell Nasri to us then they are royally screwed. Arsenal board has fucked over Wenger big time. I can only wonder whether that was the plan to begin with and "ease" him out of the door in the end of the season. Wenger is in such position there that they can't just go sack him.

He's having his medical in Barcelona now. Thank fuck for that.

Now lets get Nasri done today as I hope Arsenal have decided to get rid all in one go.

I'm not sure the board have fucked him over mate, when a player wants out then there's not much you can do but get the best price you can, and when it's a club like Barca that wants you, it even affects the price.

Maybe if Wenger built a team to win something then the likes of Fabregas may not want to leave. It must've been a right kick in the teeth to get to the CL final, against Barca, only to go down hill from there. Even worse, they were winning 1-0 when he was taken off then Barca scored a few minutes later with another coming near the end. Bad decision by Wenger?

I watched that, that sanchez didn't look all that. It's only one game but if he doesn't improve he is nowhere near the quality of the rest of the Barça team.

Look, Wenger himself said that they'd be absolute clowns to sell both of them and wouldn't be able to compete few weeks back. I can't see any way Wenger would've gone back on his word in these past few weeks. I'm absolutely 100% positive Arsenal execs have made this decision alone.

I'm sure Sanchez is a good player but I felt all along there was an element of risk involved in signing him. If it was possible to sign both him & Aguero, then that would have been fantastic but if we were really going to choose him instead of Aguero, then thank christ he chose Barca. Imo, Aguero is a class above him & no risk whatsoever.

I think Wenger is complicit in Arsenal's situation, just as Ferguson was in the Glazers takeover.

Wenger was still saying that both were staying last Thursday. Never trust someone that can see a bad tackle 60 yards across the pitch but completly miss an assault right in front of his own dugout ....

I can agree with that but the whole way Arsenal work; ie not spending money etc, is down to Wenger letting them do it, advocating it & criticising people like us for doing it. He also said just the other day that when ffp comes in, they will be in better shape than us. He also said two days ago that he expected both to stay, when they were both discussing terms for transfers. He is a liar & imo, a deluded mental case.

He is right about them being in great shape once they've paid for Emirates. However, he does understand how royally they are fuckied without both Fabregas and Nasri.

I think he's been happy to go along with the board being skinfkints, because he has such confidence in his ability to turn promising young players into stars. Even though there's absolutely no evidence whatsoever that he's got even the slightest bit of talent for doing so. Apart from in his early days, he's also got no idea anymore when it comes to signing players who are established & gets it wrong most of the time. Whether he used to have someone helping him when he 1st started I don't know but he seemed a lot better in the past. Mind you, even then he signed Francis Jerffers & George Weah's cousin..

This.

Wenger is trying to take credit for Fabregas & Nasri when all he did was sign them.
