Give your head a long wobble.

Why? Today was his best performance for us but his first touch still needs improving. Still on a few occasions the ball bounces back off him. He's not a lone striker, he looks far better with someone alongside him.

Joining in January is never easy, we'll gradually see him develop now.

And it was the suggestion that you might actually prefer Adebayor which had me reaching for the auto-wobble switch :-)

Ohh I absolutely maintain that Adebayor at his best is one of the top strikers in Europe.

Everyone forgets that he's only young. There is absolutely no reason why he won't get better.

It's great that he leads the line. I was ever so pleased tonight to see some balls put across the goal from wide areas. ( see Agueros first goal). More of that please.

Very gay.

Dzeko was instrumental for us tonight in every sense....best game so far.

first half he looked like the dzeko of last season in my opinion..maybe just a little better work rate. but the 2nd half he looked like a changed player...played much better but i still think he's lacking a great final touch. got lucky with the goal but not that he didnt deserve it.

i think he'll get 20 goals in all competitions and more like 10-12 in the prem. hopefully he keeps developing.

on a side note, with dzeko seemingly playing better and aguero already off to great start in his debut (and supposedly not even fully fit) and Tevez likely staying until next summer.....will Balo get his chances in the prem? i'm curious to see how that evolves and can see him wanting to move away next summer due to lack of opportunities.
that's gonna be mancini's biggest challenge...finding sufficient, quality time for the stable of talent he has. sure we have a bunch of competitions but the players will want minutes in a quality competition like the prem or the champs league...not just the carling cup and fa cup.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

His biggest improvement, first touch and ball control. He was horrible in this aspect last season. This time, great first touch, held the ball well and had several chances.

my brother recently met an 80 year old gay man with a collection of Jade dildos -- oddly enough while working on an organic farm. Wonder what those would fetch?

My MOTM Dzeko. I thought he was as involved as Silva in creating chances & scored the crucial 1st goal. I'm sure when I put on 5 Live, that Lawrenson was slagging him off but I thought I must have heard it wrong. Surely even Lawro can't be that fucking clueless ?

Even Ratpigcunt was praising Dzeko on Sky.

ok lets start from the begining ,we all know its not easy to go from one legue to another , so meklaren was on sot , first season when he gets from teplice to wolfsburg only 8 goals , second season in first half of season score 7 goals and in second oarth of season he score 21 goals in 17 games ...i dont know if u know but him and grafite hold the record of most score goals in one season, EVER, like atacking duo 55 goals in that season when wolfsburg so i cant compere lets say wast bromvich take he title n next season he score 24 and next in half season score 10 and thets only in leuge, so wats the problem been last season , need time to adjust , no balls in space or good cross, tevez is not the player working wih the team we all knw that and just to tell thet for his notcional selektion is score 11 goals in world caup qulify, so this season he start with the goal ahgainst inter , mancester and swense , i must say i watch him last night score goal , fight there is no stars in his mind asist aguero to make thet cool move, good at defence, i think he realy loves this club and finaly he find two plaers , aguero and silva who can delivre and score, his yung and if he plays enugh he can be thewith aguero most scary atack for ewrywone, i didnt see thet city destroy somwone that much for long time , if there was other goalkeper we shud win at list 7 0 ....but my point is we dont need tevez any more , we have somthing bether tevez who is willing to pass the ball , and abaut the chance by dzeko maybe he shuld score but he make that chance , golkeper have his day last night and they still get 4...we have realy good atack maybe nasri to make midefild faster and one more thing dzeko is very tehnical and have speed for his size silva aguero and dzeko one of the best atacks in premier liga, manchini just need to let this to make regular start no more to much chabges and we will be there----

Strange innit, he looked like the same Dzeko as last season until they gave him some support upfront. Until that point he was isolated and looking horrible. It really is a simple game sometimes.

I think the problem in the first half was other players trying to play him through, giving him something to chase, and he's not that type of player at all. In the second half he got more support when we decided to attack as a group and I think that gave him more confidence knowing that there was other players around him. He's definitely a confidence player.
What I was happy with though was on a few occasions when he was left on his own he decided to having a go at the defender and on more than one occasion skinned them, which was surprising!
MOTM for me.

Imo, he often doesn't make himself available for the ball, reacts too slowly when receiving a pass, allowing the defender to get there first, fails to be strong enough battling for headers, loses the ball under control, lays it off badly, doesn't work hard enough to get into goalscoring positions & arrives too late, doesn't shout for the ball, takes on too many players in impossible situations & loses the ball.

He solved pretty much all of those problems on his own last night, before Aguero came on. He's struggled because he's been crap. Last night he was excellent after being crap for 20 mins.
