People need to stop getting carrie away. Yes he played well, but his first touch on a number of occasions was poor and this was Swansea. I want to see him dominate a top defence before we put up the statue.

LULZ @ some fucking second rate rag reject commenting on Dzeko. Only reason this guy even plays in same league is because Ashley is fucking cheap and wouldn't invest on proper rightback.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

In several games last season he looked lost. I want him to prove me wrong. He just doesn't have that touch of 'class' Tevez, Aguerro or Balo have. The ability to just make something happen out of nothing.

Who said he was brought in as "magician"??
He is pretty traditional centerforward and one who will bag tons of crappy goals. He has nice shot and will probably score couple of good ones in future but his bread and butter will be kind of goals he scored yesterday. We already have Tevez, Aguero and Silva. We need someone who scores those crappy goals consistently and providing he gets the service regularily, I am 100% convinced he will do that.

This. He's basically a Champions' League-level Goater.

The Goat never scored the spectacular, if Edin gets into the right areas, plays the foil for the howitzers when he's further out I will be very happy. If he continues to play like he did last night Balo's gonna spend a lot of time on the bench this season.

Maybe you're right, but i've not been convinced with him so far. On a numebr of occasions he's missed one on ones and fairly simple chances so not really seeing that predatory instinct.

That's just a confidence/form thing in my opinion. He can score one-on-ones (see Inter friendly) and he can smack them in from distance too. He's got a lot to his game. He's highly likeable imo too. Always smiling and he seems to fit into the squad well. The other players seem to really like him. He'll score us 15 goals this season definitely. He won't play every game, no, but he will play around 30 probably, and that's more than enough.
