I'm not singling him out because of last night. He played well but he has a long way to go to justify his huge transfer fee. And you can choose to ignore it or turn a blind eye, but he needs to seriously work on his first touch.

He had a great game.
I just hope he keeps improving.

Also, I'm hoping Mancini stays with the Ageruo/Dzeko Combination in the future. That could be the front line that wins us some more trophies.

I expect players who cost 30 million to constantly be pushign to improve themselves.
He still looks uncomfortable on the ball.

I'm not being funny mate but you sound like a rag with the way you keep bringing up his transfer fee.

Nah as blue as they come. And are you telling me you've never brought up Torres's transfer fee to Cheslea etc?

Mate will you give the guy a break? He has scored two in his last two and looks like he has his confidence back or nearly fully back.

He has scored more goals than Torres and same as Andy Carroll and I'm sure both sets of fans for those teams will give them longer than you have given your own player.

Actually, of course they will, because you had your mind made up straight after he moved and now it stinks of you defending an opinion that, game by game, is looking more and more silly.

I'm no discounting him. Last season he was poor for us, new league or not he didn't cut it.
He's made a better start this season and i'll judge him at the end of it. But doesn't change the fact his first touch is poor.

I not a Chelsea fan though mate. You've got to remember money doesn't mean anything to us. £30 million to Manchester City is nothing. £30 million to Wolfsburg is a lot. That's what the press don't seem to understand.

I thought he looked even better when Aguero was on to be honest, and it's the kind of partnership I'm hoping to see more of this season.

For my penny's worth I've got to say that I thought he played extremely well once we got out of usual 'Sit Back and Hold' mode.

One of my biggest gripes about the way we play is always our first 20 minutes set-up. It can't just be the players getting into the game so I'd suggest it's got to be our tactics to ensure the opposition don't get that early goal. Take the CS, we sat back and let them come onto us, allowing them the midfield and to push their defence upto the half-way line. This gave us no space to play our game and allowed them time on the ball putting us under serious pressure. It was the same yesterday, first 20 mins were all Swansea's after that early foray forward. This doesn't help the likes of Dzeko who is not a Carlos or Kun type player who will chase everything down, he needs players to be feeding him and making space for him to make his runs.

There was one point where the ball had just crossed the half-way line on the right and Dzeko was stood in the centre trying to make a run. The problem was that Swansea had taken such a high defensive line that even though Silva (I think) seen him, Dzeko, Silva and the defence were near enough in line and so he couldn't get the ball to him. Once we got out of sleepy mode and started pushing on it obviously all changed and Dzeko was allowed more freedom to play his game, which for me looked very good.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

I remember everyone slagging Goater off when he first came to city and look how wrong they were.

His first touch didn't look too bad to me when he reacted to a pushed save from close to the side of him to score his goal.

That was an attempt at controlling the ball that went wrong, obviously.
