I feel for you. Having to learn something like latin, essential part of every day life, on your own.

On the bright side, think of all those plant names you can recite now.

Maybe for a posh educated boy like you there ain't but the message told us:

It's like a jungle sometimes
It makes me wonder how I keep from goin' under

Broken glass everywhere
People pissin' on the stairs, you know they just don't care
I can't take the smell, can't take the noise
Got no money to move out, I guess I got no choice
Rats in the front room, roaches in the back
Junkies in the alley with a baseball bat
I tried to get away but I couldn't get far
'cuz a man with a tow truck repossessed my car

I escaped from the jungle

And what the hell is the difference between forest and woods then?
Density of trees, area, cultivated/wild/natural?

Size ... a forest is bigger than a woods, a bit like a village is bigger than a hamlet but essentially they are the same thing

Is it not also that 'woodland'/'the woods' is a bit more abstract and amorphous whilst 'forest' refers to something more unitary and with a clearly-defined perimeter (such as a national park)? I really don't know, but that's what I'd suggest.

Total bullshit. Here is a photo of me, a British bear and his cub. And when he was a cool double O agent, he used to shit in the woods (on cellophane paper, which he wrapped up and brought home with him).

Lions don't live in jungles. In India, they do live in forests, though. And possibly woods.
