He didn't set up his team to kick Barca off the park from the get go, that much was evident. They roughened up in the second half to get back into the game & as I said, there's no excuse for the antics in the end.
I was merely trying to point out that Madrid have made some serious progress on the pitch, football wise & that Mourinho deserves some credit for that.

He just wanted more attention and I can't believe most of the British football going fan wants him back here. I can understand the media but not the fans.
Oh, and for those who are saying it's all tactical can you please tell me his record over Barca as I'd like to know if these tactics actually work?

off top of my head, he won one cup against them last year, lost away 5nil in league drew 1-1 at home and got beat over two legs in champs league.
With inter knocked them out of cl.
With chelsea i think he was a few mins from knocking them out until iniesta scored a last min stunner, think barca knocked them out previous year too not sure though.
Thing is, if you were manager of a team about to face best of a generation, what way would you do it? Id def do same as Mourinho, look what happened the rags when they tried to play them? I still think they should of kicked them in cl final this season. Its only way of stopping(more slowing down) there unbeatable force and messi! Would love to see what they would do if messi got a long term injury!

Looking at the stats of 1 win, 3 draws and 3 losses since he took over then I'd say that his tactics aren't working, and he's seemed to use the same tactics on each occassion. Yes, we can all say that Barca and Messi are outstanding but when you look at the squad/team that Real have then I'd say he's got to be at least winning a home game.
And, if I was the manager of a Premier team to go up against Barca then I'd most certainly want to do all I can to negate their play whilst still sticking with my own philosophy of playing football, tactics to suit as you may say, but never send your lads out to cause agro and havoc in a vain attempt to somehow show that I couldn't beat them on the pitch, especially with the players I'd have on offer.

So out of 7 games he has lost 3 times. One of the best teams there has ever been beat him 3 time and he has beaten them once doesn't sound to bad to me.Those 3 draws can be looked as Barca failures.
If your gonna say that getting a draw was shit for him why is it not shit for Barca.

So, I missed what happened to Ozil and I missed why Villa got send off, which he did, according to reports.
As for Mourinho, I appreciate him as a manager, as he's clearly a great manager. However, as a person he's an absolute cunt. He's supposed to set an example, so why the fuck is he doing this like that?
I disagree with the underlined bit, hes there to win football matches, and against rivals its at all costs, everything he does is to rattle there cages and give him a slight edge in beating barca at any cost, granted it doesnt always work but hes got to do it....
Does he, does he really? is that because he can't coach his players to be as effective as Barca's ? some blokes buy bright red super sports cars with a long bonnet... and some blokes... well you get the idea... you cant make up for deficiencies by overreacting.
Lets all face it Mourinho is a LOSER
A loser? Cmon mate dont be silly, mourinho is anything but a loser, he's the complete opposite hes a winner. He is taking on the best team of a generation, what do people want him to do? Send real out to play fancy football and get hammered(see the 5nil last season), at least with Mourinho around theres a chance Barca wont win everything they compete for, it aint pretty but its proved effective for him against them before.
PeterParker wrote:The worst thing is that he passed his anger and hate for Barcelona to the players and we can see those dreadful tackles like those that Marcelo or Pepe did.

I didn't say that though, did I Ragger's. Mourinho was brought in because he is the 'Special One' and able to take a Mega-Star team to the next level, on the pitch. Has he done that, is he capable of beating Barca mano-on-mano?
Well, the stats don't lie and athough this wasn't my point it does go to show, and with his actions on the sidelines, that he cannot do it and has to resort to underhand tactics just to win one game. The point I was making was that his tactics of allowing/telling his players that everything on the field of play is fair game aren't working so why doesn't he get hold of his players and tell them to play footall.
Is that OK?

What was underhand about what Madrid did?I don't really like crunching tackles and there not that many normally in the La Liga matches I have seen, but Madrid didn't do anything that doesn't go on in the prem every week.Mick Mccarthy's teams have had comments made about them,we have NDJ who is regarded to be somewhat of a hard player and there are plenty more examples.
Valdes was more underhand when he pulled Tranny down for what should have been a penalty and being the shinning light that all Barça players are must have forgot to own up ,wonder why that was.
Jose's team did not cheat any more than Barça did.
Real played football.
It was Barça cheating that brought the match down to the gutter by the play acting and duping the ref they were doing.

I heard it before he was sent off. Disgusting. Another thing that will be swept under the carpet whilst Platini busily tries to stop us, as we're bad for football.
