Trevor Francis versus Stoke (forget the year) was bloody good - two goals. I was convinced that we were going to go on and win the league after that game.

Berti?
A moment that lifted the soul and i think the one moment the manager got us as a club
It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)

Top ten débuts on the OS have some memorable moments but don't include Macmannawoman, perhaps what followed left such a scar on the club they prefer not to think about it!

What scar? it wasn't that bad, he just didn't play as he could, it was hardly a Franny Lee as chairman moment

I think it is utter bullshit that Macca isn't in that list.

When it comes to debuts his was outstanding.

After watching him that day I honestly thought we had signed a genuine world class player for fuck all, I was on cloud 9.

He damn well should be in the top 5 of the OS list! Disgrace!

Yes, absofuckinglutely! I thought exactly the same thing - he was very good for Liverpool, he had some outstanding games for Madrid (didn't he turn Salford inside out in one CL match?) and his first game for City was incredible, made the whole team look good. Then...fuck all! And Chinners, it did leave a scar. Macmannaman made us a laughing stock, I used to post on the City part of the 606 forum and all sorts came on there to laugh at what a fortune he was costing us and doing absolutely nothing. Even after he left I remember one cunt used to come on asking what ever happened to Macmannaman, our best ever player!

Ah, the 606 forum ... like the phone-in generally used by people (no, not you blues) who never been to the gamne they are debating. Personally I don't think Macmanamen was the all or even the main thing wrong with the club at that time, still, tis all opinions ain't it
