I had a feeling the lad would come good and settle eventually. Lets hope he continues his good run and 2 in 2 ain't a bad stat at all!

What a difference having a strike partner makes.
Him and Aguero look perfect foils for each other.
Potentially our best striking partnership for many a year.
Edin looked very decent today.
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.

He's almost up to speed with the prem after a settling in period. Hopefully some will lay off him because that's 4 in his last four now and he's got so much more to his game. Also kun could have had a hatrick on another day. Had dzeko missed those chances one or two on here would have all been over him.

This. Very good partnership in the making, they have instant chemistry it seems.

Possibly because they're both still fairly new at the club. Also, Aguero is the player that Dzeko needed Tevez to be. Quick, looking for the pass, getting into the right areas, plus he has a good partnership with Silva too. Dzeko is an out and out target man and with Aguero and Silva he's getting the service he needs.

Aside from that, he has much better ball control. He admitted he was struggling when he joined in January and I am glad to see the fruits of his labour. I know it sounds corny. Physically he looks very strong and he was, at times, dominating the two powerhouses at the back of Bolton. If he keeps this up, he'll be extremely tough to mark.

What about that lob to Aguero against Swansea. A beautiful little lob that was that Aguero turned into a beautiful overhead pass to Silva.

Silva 2, Dzeko 2, Aguero 2.

Not a bad spread. We are now much more difficult to read, and we do have a lot of more options this season. We don't need Tevez to interfere with that well oiled striking force.

I couldn't be happier with Dzeko. There's no player I want to 'come good' more than him because of the amount of stick from the media and other fans he gets. People saying, "He had a bad season last year" .....wait, didn't we buy him in January?? He wasn't with us all last season.

This. If you watched how he played with Grafite at Wolfsburg, both could position themselves perfectly to pounce on one another's blocked/rebounded shots. Expect 10-12 goals to be scored in this manner between them this season. Also, now we're not so reliant on Tevez playing through the centre, the box is less crowded, meaning there'll be fewer clearances and goalmouth scrambles.

i think in all honesty it's his strike partner and not a "settling in period" that's making the difference.

We've got some spread for goals now and haven't been reliant on the one-man wrecking ball that is Tevez.

as others have said already, the front 3 yesterday looks like it's making the case to be our best 3...can't imagine anyone else creating much more panic in the box for an opponent and all three will work hard to win the ball back.

it should be giving you a raging hardon...since you've been bitching about negative Mancini football for a year or so. Or so.

cheers

That front three (plus Yaya) are working really well together too, once Nige frees Yaya up so he can get forward again. There's some lovely little micro-relationships developing on the pitch.

In English a layer could mean someone who has sex (is good in bed) - so he's making a joke about the missing letter.
