would be happy with a point at spurs. hard to beat at WHL. just hope we go all out for the win though.

They can't distribute if we have the ball. In other games v Spurs, we worry about them & they have the ball. Their weakness is at the back, their strength is any kind of ball into the box ftom any area.

We have never actually tried playing football against them. Now would be the time. Most teams who pass well v Spurs beat them.

I hate these high expectation forecasts - remember last year when for the middle part of the season people were calling for mancinis head whilst there was still time to do something about it, anytime we dropped a point it was the end of life as we knew it....

Im happy just to watch each game as a possible 3 pointer - there will be days when we get stuffed by QPR and then waltz through the scum or chelsea 4 days later, thats football - there is no reason we cant beat any team in the prem home or away, i just hope we can keep in the mix for the top all season - that would be fucling thrilling

The team that faced Swansea/Bolton should be capable of winning most of those games. However, the Fulham & Blackburn games follow CL matches & the Everton game is after a Carling cup game. This will be where Mancini earns his money, getting the balance of squad rotation right.

I cannot see any reason that we cannot win all of the next six fixtures, none of the opponants should trouble us so we should take an early grip on the premiership title.

If we win, we gain 3. If we are trying to win the league, winning games is the way to go in most circumstances. We have the players. Lets give it a go. If we lose, we lose.

Ok so no particular insight into how to play Spurs at WHL then? Play our own game and see where it gets us then. That's a bit dull but is a safe option.

Personally as long as we flood the midfield and look to cut out Spurs distribution at source from players like Huddlestone we will be pretty safe and frustrate them. As we often have a 5 man mid then suits fine as long as they push up and mix it up in a high line.

Back in the Mercer/Allison era we did play our own game and let the other teams worry about us. It brought us glorious football and trophies. I'd love us to be doing that again and I think we're now getting a squad who'll allow us to it.
If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs, it's just possible that you haven't really grasped the gravity of the situation.
