I don't understand this. He is his parent, the money will stay in the family, but still he wants more. I really hope if we bring him, we won't have another "Joorabchian" type of problem.

If he wants to come he can kick up a bit of a shit storm and refuse to go to Udinese. However if he gets on that plane, then he clearly has no real appetite to join City. Thus the persistent Nasri pantomime will he or wont he, will be clearly answered today (thank god).

Given all the fannying about already I sincerely hope City are already seeking alternatives, specifically those not named Scott bloody Parker either.

I thought the entire Lescott saga was tedious, but this one has it topped. Roll on Sept 1st.

Anyone else feeling we should tell them to fuck off? I think it might do us good in the long term. Would show a hard nose side to us. Nasri is no David Silva and I am not that desperate for him. He's about half as good as Tevez, who I'd much rather keep.

I don't get this 'oh I'm bored with this' ' let's move on now, this is more boring than..' business. It's a transfer deal it's not supposed to entertain you, it's a bunch of blokes in suits making phone calls.

Isn't Nasri's agent the same one that Cuntona used?

Funny though, that whenever a player looks to move all the parasites come crawling out of the woodwork. Why would you need 3 or 4 representatives to the tune of the reported 3 million when in reality, if you have a good agent, he should get you the best deal available. He's then paid by the player, who in turn pays the other representatives.

Is this not how City see it?

I don't know about Cuntona's agent but Wenger apparently has issues with Nasri's reps.

The general story seems to be that these deals are done, then at the last minute, a couple of characters (in this case Nasri's dad) appear wanting a cut for their alleged involvement. Frank just used to pay them all (then they probably buried the money in a trench in Cambodia) but nowardays we just tell them all to fuck off & wait for them to either back down or actually fuck off.

Maybe his dad wants him to join scum (if the Cuntona thing is real). Who knows, maybe they disscused a while back and Scum told him they will bid when he was free, but next year and Nasri won't wait that long, otherwise i can't understand why after the clubs reached an aggrement and apparently Samir accepts the contract, you as a agent still want more.

despite what you wrote...i'm still bored of this long, drawn-out, mind-numbing transfer business with Nasri.

This, if Nasri wants to come and he's happy with the contract what's the problem, he can pay his agent the 3M and the deal can be done. Why should we pay the agent.

Arsenal can confirm that they have agreed terms for Samir Nasri to move to Manchester City.

The 24-year-old midfielder, who has spent three years with the Gunners, has been omitted from Arsenal's squad which flies to Udinese this afternoon and instead will travel north for a medical.

The move will be subject to Nasri passing a medical and formal registration processes.
