At long last.

I still think the Scott Parker rumour was a leak intended to make us feel better about this one dragging on, though:

"Only Nasri? Oh well, at least he's ten times better than Parker!" ;)

Nasri for my money is one of the best mids in the league, add to that his age and potential for improvement, we have bagged a bargain, even at £23 million.

Top top signing, the missing piece of our puzzle.

We are now finally out of the "project" stage.

Genuine contenders now! :D :D :D

He met the Greggs staff at 1pm, they gave him a sausage roll for an autograph, that was his deciding factor to join apparently

Value for money? Maybe. Overpriced? Maybe not. Bargain? Give me a fucking break. Esp if you add up the (alleged) wages, too.

No offence, mate.

None taken.

I'd say a bargain when you weigh it up against the likes of Downing, Henderson and other big money transfers for players with far far less proven quality.

I agree big wages but hey ho, you get what you pay for.

Exactly, who thought that Andy Carroll = Nasri + 11 million!?

Great buy, was shortlisted as POTY last year, and will only get better over the next few years. I'm shaking from excitement to see Aguero, Silva, and Nasri all in the same team

Edit: also from the interview on the OS:

City have very passionate fans - Arsenal have good fans but they're not that passionate.

haha already getting a dig in. But he also seems extremely excited and happy to be playing with us! good times!

Top top signing.Im also really excited for the game on sunday. My favourite thing about signings like Silva,Aguero and Nasri is the potential and the fact that they are all payers desperate to be at the top winning teams. This season is seriously exciting, champions league draw tomorrow.Im feeling a bit spoilt these days.

Oh, I don't know. They get pretty "passionate" when they're booing and screaming at anyone who dares leave them.

Except for Fabregas, of course. Then they make fruity placards saying how much they love him. Gullible idiots.

'Nasri Snubs Sir Sluralot in Favour of City's Project'.

Its no wonder our "team spirit" is so poor because all our squad actually want to be somewhere else!

Lots of 'em probably do. United has their history and current run. Real and Barca are bigger than City....i dunno about that Juve bit.

I think

Agreed...probably why Mancini tested Yaya out at that deeper position last game (which is where he normally played at Barca but moved forward when he came here to occupy a space that we needed filled. but now Nasri can fill it)...

First thing I noticed, he looks like a very relieved man, absolutely clear he intended to leave Arsenal in the summer and they made it difficult.

Second thing, he wanted US, not the rags, not real, US. It's very clear he like many other players now see city as the place to be if you want to win in future.

Comes across as a very genuine man, very professional, well spoken, will be a tremendous acquisition for us no doubt.

Delighted with this.

Yaya played more games than any other City player last season. I think he is the first name on the team sheet for Mancini and his place isn't under threat at all. Plus, Yaya's a foot taller than almost everyone else who plays midfield for us. I think Milner/Johnson/Balotelli all have more competition now though
