Never thought i would say that but at least presently in media ciecles it's certainly true.He's a bit of a legend.Since Mancini has joined the club he has been so so positive about the club.One of our only constant sources of support within the media.
Okay maybe the legend bit is slightly over the top but on Espn he has been all over us like a rash talking us up no end.

I never really liked Savage in his playing days as he was so full blooded on the pitch.That would have been great if he played for the club i support but when he's on the opposing team he's hardly going to endear himself.
I have to say in a way his City Bias has become quite entertaining and i'm really begining to like the chap, makes Espn a far more favourable viewing option than the lot at sky.
He hinted that his only criticisim of us today was that we should have gone for the jugular today and made it seven or eight.

I like savage as a pundit...Hes been good to City and was spot on with that jugular comment..There was a spell after the 4th goal where we relaxed and went into cruise mode...Not knocking our performance, it was awesome but we need to keep attacking for 90mins if were gonna meet and beat the likes of Barca.

Robbie Savage is utter clown both on and off the pitch. Just because he fancies us doesn't mean he is any good. I used to read his columns and all he ever did was have cheap shots on anyone he thought had been "in his way to world stardom" without hint of self sarcasm. I've also heard him on telly on some of those streams and he comes usually with some brainless non-sense.

British telly go wrong with pundits because they go for "good characters" rather than people who actually have something insightfull to say about football.

Totally agree with him about going for the jugular. If there's one thing we can learn off the rags is that they showed no mercy to Arsenal today. they could have been forgiven for stopping at 5 or 6, but they never stop.
If we had today, we could well have been top tonight. I hope they learn if and when we are in that position again. Goal difference cost us second on our own last year, we must learn to be unforgiving in putting teams to the sword.

I like him, not sure if he was a presenter or a guest...I think guest when he was playing for Brighton, but he makes a lot of sense most of the time. Not too insightful but plain spoken and sounds like someone you'd enjoy talking to at the pub after a game.

This. I dunno what some of you expect. After the first two goals we went for the jugular and smashed 5 past a very decent team on their home patch.

I like him. He always comes across well on the Monday Night Club on five live. He is not afraid to speak his mind and clearly isn't afraid of upsetting fellow pro's with his opinion. He says it as he sees it and although I might not always agree with his opinion, it's refreshing to hear a pundit who actually has an opinion, rather than just bland observations who is frightened of upsetting an ex colleague/future employer. And he loves us.

Savage is still a cent for me. He's doing exactly what he always does, choosing the lest popular stance to be different. He don't really like us, its just nobody else does at the mo so he chooses to take that stance. He'll be back to slating us come xmas when everyone else is drooling over our side.

I totally agree with you. True champions at any sport have to develop a killer instinct. When we've got a team on the ropes, we've got to keep them there and run up a rugby score.

Me too, I think City could have done what they wanted with Spurs. 8-1 would not have flattered us and was on. Spurs were let of lightly at 5-1.

I always forget the rule on here. If the journo says something good about City then he's a great journo. If he dares write anything negative he's a munich lover.

Savage is a total prick. I couldnt care less if he sung blue moon live on TV. He's typical of the type of pundit British sports fans like with his everyman joe public routine. He was an average footballer that got lucky to play in a era where even being as poor as him means he gets alot more attention than he deserves.

The only reason he sings our praises is because Mancini is a good mates with him.

Redknapp, Neville, Savage are all guys who tell me nothing I didnt already know. Give me Gab Marcotti, Patrick Barclay or Guillem Balague any day of the week. Actaully Skys use of Balague on their Spanish football coverage sums it up perfectly. They have some no mark ex pro who has probably never even been to Spain doing the co commentary whilst the expert is stuck in the studio and given five minutes air time presumably because he's not English, educated and never played the game.
