I don't think there would be any way Dzeko would be dropped on current form, he'll only be dropped in order to keep him on current form. That could still leave 30 games for Tevez.

yea but we all know tevez it must be abaut him did u see his face when we lead 4 0 against spurs not a hapy guy , so i think he will make some problems i will like to be wrong but he got that personality im the best fuck all off u....

That's a good point, Tevez has to be shown he isn't the big fish in a small pond anymore.

Well he'll either begrudgingly accept that's how it is & fight for his place or not get a game, same as Balotelli.

He'll stick around til Xmas when he will join Corinthians. He will do his best when required and score several goals. In January we will replace him with another quality striker.

No problem.

The thing is.....he will not be worth 50 million by then will he and we would have spent another 7 million on his wages from June till end of December...........to me it made more sense to sell him now for 35 to 40 million and get him the move he so desperatly wants.

Bob said he can leave if he still wants to next season, so I think it's possible they won't let him leave til then. He also said he may not go anywhere now his family are here. It could be that Joorabchian's master plan of taking him to Brazil & re-owning him, then selling him back to Europe, has been fucked up by Cook & Marwood forbidding a resale, therefore there may not be any money for the little dodgicant if he moves him to Brazil.

I bet Kia was going to pay Corinthians & sponsor part of that transfer/wages & now, by the time he's done it, Tevez may be too old to make it worthwhile bothering, even if we allowed it, which we probably won't as we hate the little shite.

I've heard that he is but I don't know if that's definitely true. You would have thought Sky or ESPN would have picked him out in the crowd if he'd been there though, with all the furore that's been going on. Mind you, he may have banned himself for fear of getting a punch in the mouth.

Bump!!

Transfer antics aside......I thought he was shite today by our current team standards. Gave the ball away too often. Shot at goal when he should have passed. Missed a penalty....

He is no longer in our best 11.

One fucking game. The man was our player of he season last year by a distance. How about giving him a bit of slack?

I thought he played some nice touches today. Penalty miss aside he was sort of typical Tevez. Last season he would have bagged the pen and we would have won 1-0 and we would have talked about hoe we have little without him. Give him a chance. He played some nice stuff today and will only improve.

Actually he made some good contributions and tried to create things for other players. He wasn't as sharp as we know he can be, but then a lot of players were a little bit off in the final 3rd. Tevez has always been slow to get going in the last couple of seasons, so no surprise and not a bad effort imo. Poor penalty and i knew he was gonna miss it for some reason.

Anyway get off his back, he is another feather in our cap and he will come up trumps on plenty of occasions.

If you are finding yourself still with a sour taste in your mouth towards Tevez, just think of the fact that both he and Aguero and Nasri and Silva, Yaya and others have yet to get properly up to speed.. Dzeko looks like he is already but the whole lot them will improve as a unit as each of them sharpens up. Mario surely can only get better too.. if he clicks then fucl me this league is in for some serious fun.

now what is the point of picking holes in Tevez when there is all that to look forward to eh?

He was far from shit today. The penalty was toss but his overall play was good and with a bit more luck/better finishing he could have ended the day with 1 or 2 goals and a couple of assists. The pass for Micah when he hit the underside of the bar was exceptional as was the chipped through ball to Milner.

He's not really played since the Copa America either so will be a bit rusty but some of the link up play with Silva and Aguero was superb.

He doesn't like Manchester and he has a cunt for an agent BUT he's a world class footballer and I'm gonna enjoy watching him until he inevitably leaves in the near future, he still has an important part to play.

Thought he played well today, not an excellent performance but one in the bag after a period out. Said that he shouldn't have taken the penalty after his miss for Argentina, but eh, it worked out well.

PS. I see him as a player, nothing more, nothing less, whilst some seem to think he's been round and bummed their sister. He'll score goals, and that's what I care about.

It's actually ridiculous to say Tevez was shite. He wasn't fit granted and the penalty was a poor one but he was involved in a lot of very good link up play, look how well he did for our first goal. They'll be games this season we'll be very glad we have him. However I would have played him as well as Dzeko and Aguerro, leaving Johnson out and shifting Tevez to the right a bit.

I said he was shite by the standards of our current team and it's an observation that I'll stand by, one game or not. He was OK until he missed the penaly and after that he was trying too hard to make up for it, to the detrement of the team.
At one point yesterday in the first half he had the ball on the edge of the 18 yard box, twisted, looked up and saw Aguero busting a gut, unmarked and in a perfect position to score before twisting back and firing a hopeful shot at the keeper. He should have laid it off. That sort of thing happened a few times. However, he was desperately unlucky a number of times and on another day would have scored.
I don't think it's a coincidence that we scored a couple of goals within minutes of him being substituted though.

Following his antics of last Christmas when he was by far the best player on our books and subsequently tried to hold the club to ransom with a written transfer request, I have never forgiven him (or his agent). Now that times have changed and I think he'd struggle to make our starting 11, I would have no sympathy whatsoever if he had to spend the season watching from the sidelines.

I have no idea what 'assurances' he has had and reffered to last winter but Tevez doesn't strike me as the sort of player who would be happy on the bench. I would hope that Mancini deals with him in a professional manner because whilst everything seems to be perfect at the moment, I can't help but think that until the Tevez situation is resolved, it'll come back to bite us on the arse.

AJ did the same thing on more than two occassions. Picking on Tevez tbh just highlights that you haven't got over the 'saga'. He was rusty but so were others. He is an asset that Bob has available, he is good. It would be foolish to take the hump and not use that asset. He can win games in the thick of it, don't forget that. City have moved on, we don't 'need' him and life is better all round for it. The Tevez saga is over.
