Good luck to Shauny-City legend and cult hero of us, the fans. Had 11-12 seasons at City. Saw his interview on SSN, looks gutted and a class bloke with a nice comment about City and the fans.

Glad he didn't take a parting shot at City like his new team mate did to Newcastle.

Joey Barton on twitter:
Nice to see Mike Ashley and Derek Llambias come through with their promise to reinvest Andy Carroll money, £59m net profit from transfers in last 5 seasons… ambition???”

Hope swp does well there.
Still one of my favorite footballers.

Five years past his best and he was never even in his prime a CL player.

Good move for him though. Back in London and probably didnt have to take a pay cut.

Farewell and Aloha to SWP--you were the heart and soul of the City team for a while. Great memory for me is the amazing goal you scored in Vancouver a few months back. QPR have a winner on their hands.

One of my all time favourites. Even laughed when he scored our 5th against everton years ago. Cost me £600 on a bet. Typical 40 yrd run down the right, cut in and buried it.

Great player for us, bit sad to see him go but it will be nice to see him playing every week again. Can see this as a mini-revival for him and he should do well in what is looking like a decent midfield now. QPR should have done this in July though, madness leaving this many transfers this late.

great player for us, he won't ever be forgotten ... saved us many a time on the field, and even financially when we sold him to chelsea, we were so fucking desperate for cash then. never said anything bad about city, too bad his father couldn't keep his big mouth shut.

Right on all counts. And of all the 'exiles' (thanks to his dad) he was the only one to win his way back into Mancini's thoughts, and could have still been in the squad if he hadn't opted for QPR. That shows what a great fella he is with a great attitude, shame he's just not quite at our level now.

Anybody saw his speech on Sky last night when asked what he wanted to say to the City fans? It gave me a manly tear. Good luck at QPR, Shaun! You'll always be a blue.

Loved that bit on his interview with BBC

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/14738338.stm?

Top lad, mini City legend and the video on the OS brought back some great memories. I was in the Arsenal end at Highbury just behind the goal when he unleashed that screamer. All the Gooners around me applauded it.

Some cracking goals and some fantastic memories. The goal in the first Eastlands derby was epic.....the place went mental!

I had thought we should've got rid last season but he surprised and impressed me with how he turned up for pre-season. Glad that he could win a trophy with us and leave with dignity and still with the full affection of the fans. I'm a little bit sad that he's gone after watching the video as he's travelled quite a long way with us, the fans.

Good luck Shauny.....one ex Blue who is guaranteed a brilliant reception on his return. I won't even begrudge the little fella a goal at the Etihad
