Just to point out to you, that I first stated he would eventually become captain in the first week of November 2008.

Great decision by Mancini, let's hope we can get a win against Wigan to top the day off.

Great decision and a worthy captain.
I got the feeling Tevez was captain to keep him sweet for abit longer.

It was absolutely the right decision. I love Tevez as a player - absolutely world class... but for the first time I think he should get back on the bench, particularly when Aguero is playing. I know it was only an hour of play but I don't think they're gonna be a very good partnership.

I thought Tevez was pretty shite today, tbh. Gave the ball away too much and shot on goal when he should have passed.

Vinny is a 100% starting line-up and so should be captain. Tevez no longer has that luxury. Both Dzecko and Aguero should get the nod before him. We also need a new penalty taker.

Agreed - apparently Kun wanted to take that penalty but Tevez insisted. I am just very happy that Mancini made the sub when he did...he got that spot on imo..timing was perfect as we scored 2 within a few minutes of that change.

Napoli game will be the Swansea lineup I reckon,

Komps is the perfect leader for us, i always tought it was strange to give Tevez the armband.
A shame Komps didnt get the first goal as a captain for us yesterday, Lescott denied him...

If you haven't seen it already, watch the tunnel cam on the website from the game yesterday. In the tunnel before coming out for the second half and you can see Kompany having a word with Johnson, explaining what's going wrong and what he should be doing. Only a little thing but it's something Tevez certainly wouldn't have done or been capable of doing given his lack of English. Good to see, the guy's a born leader.

I like AJ as a player but it was glaring yesterday that his all round workrate is not a patch on Silva, Tevez, Aguero, Milner etc etc. I think he needs to really work on improving that part of his game or he's going to be very much a bit part player still this season. He has lots of talent but needs to work on adding more else he doesn't have anywhere near enough to be even a sporadic starter

On the plus side he lasted a full game, I didn't notice him running out of steam either but I wasn't really watching him in the last half hour to be honest. I get the idea he' s working on his weaknesses but it's just a hunch.
