I'm sure of that now.

Theyre up 2-0 after 11 minutes....took us awhile to get our 2nd.

oh, and Messi, Iniesta, and Villa are on the bench.

I didn't say we ARE better than them....

Oh and Dzeko, Nasri and Balotelli were on our bench.

Youre right, you didnt...but you said we will be shortly. I begged to differ.

Comparing Balotelli to any of those players...or any of Barca's squad...is an irrational insult to Barca.
Balotelli isnt anywhere near them.

Ok so lets not let this slip into a discussion about Balotelli.

You beg to differ that "one day, in the not too distant future" we could be better than Barcelona?

Ok then, no problem.... I obviously have a lot more faith in our AMAZING team than you do.

+1

A trophy is a happy bonus for me if we play out the season with football like that. The potential problem, as I see it, is that if we don't score from the chances we create, we are open for a single mistake or bit of bad luck to cost us points, as the space is there for the oppo to get at us. I don't mind that, & we have such quality now that it's unlikely to happen too often that we miss loads. When it does happen however, I hope the fans & board stick with the programme rather than going into meltdown like they did when Hughes tried to attack, with an inferior team. This is the kind of football we want to be playing. If we have setbacks achieving it, so be it, the longterm result is worth it. If we want to be the top club worldwide, we have to entertain, not just win.

What an amazing football team we have. One of the best in the world even now and only going to improve. It must be horrible for other cunts who don't follow City to watch such a meteoric rise when we were pretty shit IN THE NOT TOO DISTANT PAST.

CTID, eh mate?

I guess they just don't have the squad to rest three such big name players and win convincingly.

Bet you feel a little bit silly now...

Scum are 5 up, gutted, joked with a lad at work that Bolton are a good team and Scum would do well to score 3 against them like we did.

Why are you gutted mate? Like the Spurs/Arsenal results this should just emphasise Roberto's point that we need to punish every chance/half chance

It is between us and them this season. Id rather us lurk just behind on GD like this for months if I'm honest. I'd worry if we were out in front

We are better than them....fuck it....I've said it but I really do believe it. We can and should prevail this season

YOu're gutted. I've slept through the City match and woken up in time for Bolton to roll over. Bolton took some very difficult chances against us, but have fluffed easier ones against the rags.

Nope, I don't. Villa played a stupid stupid back pass but still. Look at their defense today..the only starter was Alves.
Busquets is a converted holding midfielder and Fontas and Adriano arent Pique/Puyol and Abidal.
Regardless, Barca is still better.

Phips mate....I have no idea what your history re City is but you come across as a "football fan who has chosen to follow City"

These days that is a modern reality and it's certainly where most of our "global fan footprint" will come from in future. BUT....Most on here are City fans through quirk of birth, family, location or history (most certainly NOT choice).....we/they follow City blindly (and have done so through years of watching average to utter shitty football....until now) and are quite rabid in doing so.

We can all appreciate the excellence of Barca....but if you cannot blindly wear blue blinkers when it comes to applauding one of our excellent performances as the ultimate in footballing beauty (....potentially in the face of even more compelling evidence of a comparatively even more impressive showing on the same day) then, my friend they/we/I will call you a cunt

Like I just did ;-)

When did I EVER say that we are better than Barca? When?

And you should feel silly for your point of Barca being two nil up without those three players because they ended up drawing that game with those three players on the pitch.

Now I said I think we could be better than Barca in the not too distant future. How that seems to have completely gone over your head is verging on impressive at this stage.

In the not too distant past you probably would have said there's no way we'll be Fa Cup Winners, finish on same points as Chelsea and be playing champions league football...

You really should have more faith because we are one of the best teams on the planet.

CTID :)
