The commentators were waxing on whatever channel it was on... hymn sheet change quickstyle methought.

Just after the takeover I was mulling the future and came to the conclusion that for City to gain the owners stated aims we would not only have to win things (aka Chelsea) we would have to turn on the style.. in order to turn off the skeptic in people and to counter the press bias. When you see beautiful football you simply have no choice other than to respect and like it (even if it is your enemies team).

When they brought in Mancini for Hughes I really did think that it would be for good reason and i firmly believe that Mancini would have been able to communicate a viable and convincing plan of how to take the club to be not just one of the best in the Prem but to be one of the best ie. top 3 in Europe. It is obvious that to do that in all seriousness and not just pretending as many clubs would be, there would have to be both a business and a football plan. If my first thoughts were we will have to play very attractive football to do that I'm fucling sure that Mansour and his gang will have had that as a heading on the agenda.
Easier said than done yes, but as said Bob must have been able to articulate a plan for amazing football and the ability to compete with Barca for instance.
This lot don't do anything by halves and i doubt there is much left to much chance.
Mancini has been hard at work creating a solid backbone and work ethic at City, without which we may as well be with Hughes again. It is also true in my view that this team and squad are still in early days and there is a lot more finess to come.

It truly is a sight to behold and whilst our bias stops most admitting it, so far this season we have looked unrecognisable from last season.

Long may it continue as it is a joy to watch.
Tracking back is overrated.

We are winning games because of sheer brilliance. Rags are winning games due to poor opposition. There's a big difference here and that's what really excites me, we currently look unplayable.

At the expense of ruining the mood, our respective games against Bolton suggest that's not entirely true.

Our games against spurs suggest it is.

Bolton played better against us, they were anonymous yesterday.

Spurs were horrid against us the same way Arsenal were aginst them.

I'm not trying to say we are not playing magical football, but if we're being honest Young and Shrek have been in got form as well and the top of the table is dominated by two teams right now. Both scoring for fun.

I agree both are scoring for fun but my point is the quality of play. Rags are nowhere near us on that right now.

I'd throw in that the rags are not as pleasing on the eye, but notheless still very effective. I believe that City are showing more structure to the attacking.. more intentional fluidity if you like. My guess would be as that gets slicker we would move up another notch again. Whereas the rags look more like they are close to at their best ( which you could read as shrek being on form ), and wont get that much better.
