Doesn't say much about Trafford in there just about Salford. Wouldn't Trafford Borough have to be incorporated in to Manchester City council for there to be two clubs back IN Manchester?
Director of Communications, Chris Larkin said: "At the end of the day both nationally and internationally, people do not know where Salford is.
Although I do find this part offensive.
I never payed attention to Winnipeg ice hockey until they took over the Atlanta franchise this summer. Rugby isn't big football is that's why people know Manchester.
What happens to all of the work developing the City of Salford especially around the Quays? The Bolshoi Ballet (when English National couldn't be arsed even coming NORTH) giving free performances at the Lowry Centre for the people (thank you Commie upbringing). All that time and effort wasted promoting Salford to be absorbed as a part of Manchester. What does Salford have left to promote and generate income with then?
L.S. Lowry turned down all those honours to have his legacy extinguished.
Albert Finney no longer has a home City.
The Doves no longer have a home City.
The Smiths no longer have a home City.
Joy Division/New Order no longer have a home City.
The Hollies no longer have a home City.
Where are the Salford City Reds supposed to come from now? What happens to the plans regarding the new stadium and drawing support from their spiritual home of CENTRAL SALFORD after moving?
What the fuck am I supposed to do with my passport now, prove I was born in a place that was photoshopped off of the map!
The only reason you here about places is there is a reason for you to go, why would I have ever been to Mansfield, Northampton, Grimsby, Brentford, Wycombe, Cheltenham, Wembley and Hull if not for football.
