I must admit, I was close to posting something of a similair sentiment not too long ago. I was disappointed when we sacked Hughes, and after many boring performances under Mancini, I continued to defend Hughes style and philosophy. I will stand up now and say it looks like I'm wrong. I have always preferred exciting football to results, but this is the most excited I've been about City since Keegan because we look to have an attacking mentality and the personnel to actually pick up serious silver. It is early on in the season so I will hold back a little, there is a part of me thinking that Mancini won't continue like this. But for now I'm enjoying my football team. Maybe more than ever.

So yes, I too will say sacking Hughes was the right decision, at the wrong time.

I remember last season being so angry with the way we played against United at home, which was one of the most pathetic performances I've ever seen from us, followed by Birmingham at home which was nearly as bad.

I don't believe Mancini has achieved anything that any manager couldn't with the resources available. That includes Hughes.
It's a nonsense to suggest that because we have finally started to attack, it somehow demonstrates that Hughes would have failed. We certainly would never have put in the gutless efforts that we witnessed at Scouse, Arse and Chelsea last season.
And I still wouldn't be arsed if Bob got sacked tomorrow.
