Sitting/Standing

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Sitting/Standing

Postby Yffi_88 » Fri Sep 16, 2011 9:56 am

Was given a leaflet at the Wigan game about sitting/standing in block 109 and an email address to vote on what preference I had. Has anyone else had one of these? And what are people's views?

Apologies if I'm covering an old topic but I've only recently joined here.

I'm sure you'll get a few replies telling you to 'Sit Down' but for me, I see no problems if the block votes it through. I suppose City are finding it hard to police and are now handing it over to the fans, which is sort of a good idea but what happens to the minority vote?

There was one guy in our block, who was kicking off at our own fans for sitting down. Then marching off in a blaze of 'shits and fucks' over to the corner of east.

What a prick he was. No matter what your preference, it's out of order to slate the people who've actually paid their money to watch.

They get kicked out like all of those fans that used to happily sit in the North Stand!

Where are you? I thought you were in the South Stand. I nearly put my foot through my chair when we scored!

I replied that I prefer to stand. But obviously, I'm not going to be the only person stood up in the middle of a load of seated persons.

If I could transfer to somewhere that standing is the 'norm' then I would. Currently im the end seat of row c in block 109 and it's clear that there's quite an even split. Next block along seems to be stood all game.

im in 122 on the other side and its on the verge of being sitting/standing, every game so far im up n down like a yo-yo.
Against Wigan i just went and squeezed in with the 119 lot, cause i like to stand not sit.

I prefer sitting down. As it's comfier. It really annoys me when people stand up the whole game infront of me.

I'm not too bothered either way myself, as long as i'm not up down up down all game like I was against Napoli. However, my missus isn't that tall, and her and my lad couldn't see anything because of some bloody lads stood in front of us for most of the match.

Balls to sitting, almost ruined my cup final sitting down for most of the match until we scored, the more standing the better
